We stayed at El Mirador for five days durning the end of August and I could have stayed even longer. We decided to visit Drake Bay and stay at El Mirador after advise from a friend who also stayed here on her holiday earlier in the year. She said so many positive things about this place and we were easily... More

El Mirador Lodge in Drakes Bay is interesting, but may not be for everyone. We drove in from Rincon and the trip through the jungle is exciting, especially the last of the 5 river crossings. You could not do this in the rainy season or after a hard rain anytime of the year. The Lodge is perched up on a... More

We stayed two days at Mirador in July 2014. Michael, the owner, came to pick us at the beach with his small 4x4 car. We were the only tourist in the lodge. He prepared great dinner, lunch and breakfast. He organized for us the visit of Corcovado park and the Canopy tour. Moreover, we really appreciated his sense of humor... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, it is small and at the top of a hill with wonderful views of the Pacific and scarlet macaws. Michael who runs the resort is funny and very helpful and I really can recommend this place for anyone who likes to be away from the crowd. Cheap and with all food included it is... More

I paid about $50 USD per night for one person and that included a private cabin, 3 meals and an amazing view of the bay. The older cabins are hot at night even with a fan, the screens have large holes for bugs to jump in bed with you, the mattresses are questionable and you will wake up with mysterious... More

My parents, husband and 2 children just returned from Cabinas and we're still talking about it! The owner Michael and his staff are so friendly and made Drake Bay a highlight of our 10 day Costa Rica tour. There are simple but clean cabins with private bath and we were lucky to be in cabin 3- close to the meal/hang-out... More

I just returned from my stay at Cabinas El Mirador Lodge. My boyfriend and I stayed for two weeks and we could have stayed two weeks more! We loved it! It was exactly what we were looking for, cabins amongst lush beautiful scenery. El Mirador is on a hill side giving you the best views of Drake Bay. We saw... More

Outstanding place to live, El Mirador has the most wonderful view of the bay and an uncompared service. Mikael the owner works hard to make your holiday unique. He prepares lunch when you leave for a tour, he changes hours of lunch when you go earlier, everything was just fine. Thank you

Excellent value, good food, lovely hosts, and fabulous views over the bay including sunset (which many other hotels do not have). We were really impressed. We are 2 adults and 1 child and stayed 3 nights but wish we could have stayed 5. We were in cabin 6 which was lovely and the shower had an amazing view over the... More
