We moved here for two nights after discovering that our previous choice of accommodations had no running water. I had attempted to book us into Jinetes prior to our departure from the U.S but they did not have availability for all of our dates. We found them immediately after our arrival to Drake Bay whilst walking along the beach. Had... More

I loved this hotel! It was a really exotic location, we even saw crocs swimming on the sea from our balcony and a scarlet macaw came to eat from a tree right next to our room two morinings in a row. The food was fantastic! Kate makes the best Caipirinha in the world and I lived in brasil. There is... More

The hotel is located on the water within walking distance to the town. The rooms are simply furnished with a fan, some with a bathroom and some sharing which is never a problem as it is always clean. The hotel is simplistic in its design allowing you to connect with the beauty of the Osa Penninsula; falling asleep and waking... More

The owner was very understanding when I had to move my dates for our stay due to an ear infection. According to their cancellation policy he could have charged me 100% of the room but agreed to just move my dates. Very grateful for that. Just like the owner the staff is also excellent. They are super friendly and helpful... More

We had a pleasant stay at Jinetes de Osa. The room was comfortable. The sound of the waves down below was so loud that we needed ear plugs which we used throughout our trip in Costa Rica because it gets loud at night with all the wildlife around. There is no swimming off the beach there; not that you would... More

The team was very welcoming and well informed of our stay. My boyfriend and I were able to get our diving certificate here also. The food is AMAZING! I loved the idea that everyone ate together at the same table. We met so many lovely people! For me it was like summer camp all over again. Everything was well planned,... More

As soon as we arrived at the hotel the owner met us and reviewed the details of our stay. He knew we were going on the night bug walk that evening, snorkeling the next morning and that we needed to catch the afternoon water taxi back to Sierpe the next afternoon. They accommodated our schedule beautifully. They scheduled an early... More

We stayed here for 4 nights in January. The only vacant accommodation was the "Superior Room" which is situated high above the dining area with an outstanding view of the ocean. You are above the trees affording some decent bird watching in the early morning. These rooms are more expensive than those closer to the lodge (which also looked pretty... More

I spent a lovely week at Jinetes in Dec. My family loves to dive and the last two members of the family were there getting their Padi Junior Diving Certificates at Canos island a mere 17 km off the coast of Drake Bay. The water was clear and warm. You can't ask for much better conditions than we had. We... More

Great location on the water of Drake Bay and walking distance to other beaches. Staff was super friendly and helpful, including the unpretentious owner who sat with us for a long after dinner conversation. We used them for a snorkeling/scuba diving excursion to Caño Island which was excellent and just as promised. Room was very clean but nothing too fancy.... More
