Very nice hotel. Very quiet and immersed in the gulf. Loved their customer service and their kitchen even more. Very tasty meals. Enjoyed the rides and tours, just as well as the walks thru the near by beaches. I cant wait to go there again! More

This is a friendly, well-run place with much to offer in the way of quiet, beauty, and wildlife. We stayed for 4 days in February and took advantage of all the main tours- snorkeling, Corcovado Park, Mangrove, as well as the night bioluminescence swim. We especially appreciated Adrian (one of the family owners - very kind and helpful), Tico &... More

My husband and I visited Drake Bay Wilderness Resort in March of 2008. The location can’t be beat. Our cabin was right on the Pacific Ocean. The food was incredible. When we went on day-trips to Cano Island or to hike in Corcovado the other resorts were serving white bread and Kraft singles as part of their sandwiches for lunch.... More

A friend's recommendation brought us to the Drake Bay Wilderness Resort. Now, we will recommend this resort to everyone else. The owners are great, the service is outstanding and Mother Nature has made this place special. The views are incredible! Meals are served family style so it becomes very easy to meet other travelers. While we were there we met... More

After 6 weeks in various parts of Costa Rica my husband and I loved our time at the Drake Bay Wilderness Resort best of all! Lonely Planet describes the lodge as occupying the optimal piece of real estate in all of Drake Bay. That is an understatement!! No wonder National Geographic is coming to stay there soon. No wonder biologists... More

My husband and I and another couple spent a delightful three days at Drake Bay Wilderness Resort. Our stay couldn't have been better. We arrived after lunch and were hungry. That wasn't a problem. They served us a very nice meal as soon as we got settled. The staff couldn't be nicer. Just ask and someone is willing to help.... More

I have spent 6 days in Drake Bay . The Osa Peninsula is a biosphere that is just magnificent and a dream to visit. What made my trip especially memorable was the lovely staff at Drake Bay Wilderness Resort, the tours they organize everyday with very knowledgeable guides that know the place whether it is the ocean, the rain forest,... My family and I just returned from spending a wonderful vacation at Drake Bay Resort and I am absolutely shocked to have read this last negative comment. I must say that our experience was completely opposite. For example we experienced a 'lights out at 10 policy every night at the bar. Our meals were all excellent. One night we were... More

After reading the reviews I was dissapointed in the Drake Bay Wilderness Resort. The accomidations were minimalistic…unconfortable bed, very small bathroom with little water preasure. If you are looking for romance this is not the place. There is NO privacy with very thin walls and open screens (which are nice for the outdoor feel but not so nice for noise... More

We had an incredible stay here!! Came with my husband and 2 adult sons. Entire staff is so accommodating and welcoming. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Food very good and we all loved the way we got to meet other travelers at mealtime and talk about our daily adventures. Be sure to order the "Tico" lunch to go when going... More
