Drake Bay Wilderness Resort is an amazing resort, from start to finish this place is just perfect. Arriving is a unique adventure, as you land in the middle of the rainforest and are quickly picked up by a van and then taken to a boat. D.B.W.R. is set in a remote area, that is wonderful for honeymooners, and even families... more

From the moment we go off the boat & on to the dock, our stay here was amazing! The personal service, the amenities, the room, the food everything about this place is fabulous. The owner, Marleny was the most gracious, friendly woman we have met in a long time. She was a wealth of info for planning/setting up tours and... more

Getting to Drake Bay Wilderness Resort was...unique haha but part of the fun of the experience. A small plane took us to the "airport" where we were greeted by staff members of the resort who took our luggage and loaded us into a van that drove on the winding path through the jungle to a beach. A boat from the... more

We were only there for 2 days this time, but we saw a whale shark, a sloth, toucans, howler monkeys, and Macaws. For the people complaining about there stay here must be disappointed because they wanted to stay at the Hilton or Hyatt. This is a family run resort and is far different than a commercial resort. That said, it... more

Situated on a Peninsula jutting out into Drake Bay, this family-run Resort epitomizes the Real Flavour Of Costa Rica. Cabins are located facing the Pacific and are cooled by sea breezes and ceiling fans. Each unit has a small refrigerator, and there is an abundance of wildlife and birdlife to see and hear.Accessible by water, the staff and owners make everyone feel... more

No driving, no stress; interesting things to see and do for both me and my grandson - all this and more I found at the Drake Bay Wilderness Resort. Our arrival was pretty thrilling - after an easy 45 minute flight from San Jose on a 19-seater Nature Air plane, a 4 wheel drive vehicle picked us up and bumped... more

We did enjoy our stay at Drake Bay, it is a very peaceful place and we met some great people. The guides are excellent but I can't say the same for the owners. Our main reasons for going all the way down to Drake Bay was to see Cano Island and the ancient stones on it and to see Dolphins... more

Drake Bay is the most incredible place in Costa Rica, and on Earth! Being at Drake Bay was the peak of our adventure and enjoyment of our trip to Costa Rica. On this trip, I visited Costa Rica with some of my friends and my brother. We visited the wonderful beach at Manuel Antonio and also visited the Central Market... more

I am always working with my computer or dealing with traffic. If you live in Seattle, you know what I mean. So, my friends and I wanted to get away from this city and get to a place where we could simply relax, enjoy nature, and forget about the city. After reading online about the Drake Bay Wilderness Resort in... more

Had a wonderful week at The Wilderness Resort and would recommend it to anyone. The location is beautiful and the staff were great. Manuel was an excellent guide in the park and all the trips we did were great. The food was good and the place had a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. more
