Getting here is part of the adventure, flying into Drake airstrip on a small plane, 4x4 fording across a river and finally a short boat trip across to the hotel. You are greeted by the friendly staff who explain the hotel and any trips you have booked over a refreshing cocktail. Rooms are nicely decked out with polished wood furniture,... More

We spent six nights, seven days, at Aguila de Osa, staying in the Junior Suite (room 12). Even prior to our arrival, everything was taken care of for us and everyone we met was very friendly and helpful, from the shuttle which met us at Drake Bay airport, to the gentlemen who took us by boat to the inn, to... Spent 3 days here with my husband and don't know where to start. Arriving by boat, met with a welcome drink, we immediately began to sense the peace and beauty of this place. There is a communal dining area (great food) and serves as a meeting area as well. The rooms are sparse, no TV or phone. The idea is... More

Osa Peninsula is a paradise! Aguila de Osa provided awesome services and programs. We did the snorkeling at Cano island and saw turtles, sharks, and lots of school of fish! I love how they have a booklet in your room that outlines the variety of offered programs in details. They also have so many people there available to ask all... More

My husband and I were keen to do some scuba diving in Costa Rica, and so booked to stay at Aguila de Osa in Drake Bay for 5 nights as one of their packages (stay 4 nights get the 5th free whilst we were there, and the rate we paid included 3 days diving and 1 day hike in Corcovado... More

The Osa Peninsula is a must see if you really want to experience the rainforest and the abundance of marine and jungle wildlife that makes Costa Rica such a extraordinary country. Aguila was a perfect base and an absolutely beautiful hotel. We took the river launch to get to the hotel and that alone was an amazing adventure, so right... More

We stayed there as a family for 3 nights and would have loved to stay longer! Already the trip there on the boat is filled with adventure driving trough the forests and into the sea. The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and the rooms were spacious with great views. The food was delicious, at lunch we could always... More

This was our second trip to Aguila de Osa. Last visit was July 2006. They now have wifi through the resort and refrigerator in room. That was a good surprise. They do not have A/C. It is not a problem unless you decide to stay in the room all day. This is an adventure destination with lots of activities. So... More

Wow!! We saw monkeys, sloths, beautiful birds and so much more. The rooms are so comfortable and earthy. The food in the dining room was perfect every time. The service was impeccable! Overall, a very memorable experience!

Located where the rain forest meets the ocean on the Osa peninsula in Costa Rica, Aguila de Osa isn't so much carved out of the rain forest but rather harmoniously embedded in it. Even without the superbly organized (whale-watching, snorkeling, hiking) or self-guided (kayaking, swimming) activities, it is still a great pleasure just to sit outside the room and take... More
