My brother and I stayed at Aguila de Osa for 3 nights in January 2015. The boat ride to the hotel was beautiful in and of itself but the next three days were really amazing. The resort is absolutely beautiful and there are lots of things to do if you don't mind being active as there are some steep hills... More

This was such a beautiful spot we decided to stop for a soft drink whilst on our walk. The bar menu showed $3 each and we expected to pay tax and service of about 33% on top so, around $4 each, $8 total but were stunned to be charged $12 and could not understand the explanation for the mark up.

Aguila de Osa Inn is an amazing place that my entire family will never forget! My son, 9, and daughter, 7, are begging to go back. The mangrove tour showed them sloths, crocodiles, cayman, toucans, scarlet macaws, a boa constrictor, bats, lizards, turtles and the mangroves! We had monkeys come down into the resort one afternoon that the kids got... More

It is FUN just getting here! 12 seat single prop that lands at a strip cut into the jungle, bumpy car that, at one point, goes into and up the river. Up the river while still IN the river, then to the beach where you things are loaded into the boat for your final leg to the hotel. At the... More

This was our second trip to Drake's Bay on the Osa Peninsula. We absolutely love this remote and unspoiled sanctuary of wildlife and plants. We were pleased with the location of Aguila de Osa with a private dock on the mouth of a river on Drake's Bay. Free kayaks are available for guests to paddle up the river or out... More

The emphasis of this review is on the scuba diving. We are experienced scuba divers for whom the diving was an important aspect of the trip, together with the other activities featured by the resort. The water is 84 – 86 degrees F, allowing us the freedom to omit neoprene wetsuits, giving us the chance to control buoyancy with just... More

Loved this hotel and everything about it, down to the boat trip to get there and the garden in the back where our meals were sourced from. One of the most special places I've ever been and it will stay with great fondness in my memory.

We had a fine vacation here with a focus on wildlife. Friendly and helpful staff, and well-planned excursions to snorkeling and a rainforest hike. Our room was a spacious suite with views on three sides and a huge wraparound balcony with hammock that provided lots of wildlife watching (tropical birds and howler monkeys). Meals were varied and flavorful with generous... More

We recently stayed for four days and had a wonderful time. The hotel is beautiful and well-kept. The only problem is that the security is not good. The rooms are walled by screens and are quite a distance from the main lobby, leaving no way to communicate danger to the reception desk (no phone lines or any way to notify... More

Bradd333, Owner at Aguila de Osa Inn, responded to this review

As owner of the hotel, there is nothing worse than learning about an unfortunate incident like this one, and so I am responding personally. We’ve been in business for 23 years and while this is only the second time there’s been a break in, it was understandably upsetting for those guests and we immediately reimbursed them for the cost of...
