From the moment our plane touched down in Drake Bay, the La Paloma staff treated us like royalty. Everyone was friendly, helpful and went out of their way to ensure that our stay was perfect! The property is gorgeous! Great care has been taken to maintain the grounds in a way that makes it feel as though the ranchos and... more

My husband and I stayed at La Paloma for 5 nights in mid-April and loved it! The staff was great and attentive and we thought the food was terrific, especially the homemade loaves of bread every day at every meal AND at every picnic!! We loved and appreciated the beautiful yet rustic accommodations (NO/AC). The room had gorgeous wood on... more

I have been to La Paloma three times over a period of five years and hope to return many times in the future. It is one of my most favorite places in the world. Located on the Osa Peninsula in close proximity to the Corcovado National Park, this is an eco-lodge that exhibits total respect to its location. Rooms are... more

I have traveled extensively throughout Costa Rica and beyond a doubt my favorite place to spend time enjoying all the unique and wonderful things that Costa Rica has to offer is at La Paloma at the Osa Pennisula. This is truly a special place and have returned to it again and again. Although trips into the near by park are... more

April is the end of the dry season. It is incredibly humid and hot during this time. La Paloma is an "eco" lodge in an "off-the-electrical-grid" area of Costa Rica. An eco lodge means - no airconditioning, open cabanas (completely open to the surrounding jungle), no phone, no room-service, very high prices, one jug of filtered water, a climb up... more

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Paloma. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Our guide (Randall) was outstanding!. We've spent time with naturalists/guides on other nature oriented trips but Randall was better than all the rest. The manager (Nicole) did a great job keeping track of the details of our itinerary which made it that... more

The Osa Penninsula is a must go for nature lovers... but there are much better options for accomidation than La Paloma. The grounds and rooms of La Paloma were beautiful and well maintained. The rooms were also beautiful, but completely open. (I had a LARGE spider crawl next to my foot while going to the bathroom one morning.) There were... more

My wife and I were extremely pleased with La Paloma. From the flight in to the flight out, the staff at La Paloma lodge went out of their way to see that we had a great honeymoon at their lodge. The owner met us at the boat to give us a tour of the grounds and our room (which was... more

I've never written a review before, but I had to for La Paloma. This an incredible lodge in a spectacular place. Our room was perched on the hillside overlooking the ocean with hummingbirds fluttering through the windows. The wildlife is spectacular, with monkeys, sloths, scarlet macaws and coatis meandering around the lodge. The food is healthy and delicious. And the... more
