My sister and I spent 5 nights at this beautiful Eco Lodge at the end March of 2014. If you are looking for an experience that you will never forget, this is the place. The whole trip, beginning with our planning through Dahlia, was great. The flight to Drake Bay on Nature Air, as well as the drive and boat... More

If you want to unplug yourself from the craziness of city life, if you want to surround yourself with the endless beauty of nature, if you want to wake up to an orchestra of birds and fall asleep to the rhythmic sound of crashing waves, if you want to smell the sweet humid air of the Osa Penninsula and escape... We were looking for a tropical flora and fauna, low tech/high nature, simple and relaxing retreat... and we found it with Jonathan and staff and Guaria de Osa in Costa Rica! Magical entry by boat down the Sierpe River into the ocean and then walking into the resort after being dropped off the boat at a roadless/carless beach. Just the... More

Guaria De Osa is amazing. if i were to say my favorite part of my trip there it would have to be the whole trip. Even getting to Guaria De Osa is amazing, by air, by water and by road. The accommodations were lovely and I cannot say enough about the staff and volunteers. Everyone was friendly and the food... More

I had very little idea as to what my experience on the Osa would be like. I visited the more populated Nicoya Peninsula one year earlier and enjoyed my time on the beaches and meeting the locals, but found it to be very dangerous in certain areas. I stayed at Guaria for a retreat last winter and met some of... More

The incredible Ecco lodge, rainforest, beaches, waterfalls, hikes, wildlife, sunsets surfing , snorkeling & all that jazz. Guaria has everything for singles or families. I had been to the Osa on a few different trips before discovering Guaria de Osa. I must say that Guaria is the most beautiful lodge I have been to. The location is supreme..the jungle is rich with wildlife (beautiful birds, monkeys, butterflys, tapirs and their beautiful pet scarlet macaw named Anna). The ocean is beautiful for swimming and when... More

I couldn't have asked for a more incredible opportunity to visit Guaria de Osa! As a volunteer, I felt so at home with all of the helpful staff, with Jonathan, the steward of Guaria de Osa and the amazing experiences provided by the gorgeous setting. The accommodations are fantastic and very clean. And the food surpasses that of most retreat... More

A real mission to get to from New Zealand but it was so worth it. I had the most amazing time here and I loved every moment. Wonderful people, beautiful surroundings, stunning sunsets and plenty of wildlife I've never encountered before. I had the most amazing experience swimming at night in the bio luminescence - breathtaking. We hired some horses... More
