The building is old (used to be a Howard Johnsons, in the 1960s) and needs a thorough renovation. The best thing going for it is location. My room had a beautiful view of Gammage Auditorium, the ASU campus, and mountains beyond. Very good information on dining and other local attractions is provided. IHOP adjoining. Guests are given access to the... more

Worst hotel experience ever. When told of the problem, all they offered me was a change of rooms. Never again--and if you decide to stay there anyway, avoid room 721--infested (and I have the bites on my feet and legs to prove it). more

I stayed here, with a large group of people, on business for a week. This is not the best nor worst hotel we have hit in our travels, but it definitely needs some improvements. One of the most frustrating things is the elevator. There are two, but only one works, and it is extremely slow. Allow several extra minutes because... more

I booked a room for Feb 29-March 2, 2008. When I arrived they had no record of my reservation. I spelled my name five different ways and nothing. Finally they said they did have a room available so they made a new reservation and my husband paid for it with a different credit card than the one we had used... more

Stayed here for two nights while visiting ASU for work reasons. My experience with staff was the opposite of what others have recently reported. Had contact with two shuttle drivers and three front desk staff. All were friendly and efficient. For example, when the front desk staff realized five minutes after checkin he had forgotten to give me envelope left... more

The Twin Palms Hotel Tempe has a lot of potential: a swimming pool, a bar, and a good location close to Phoenix airport and very close to ASU. However, poor management detracts from what this hotel could be. The rooms are of a good size, and are clean. Cleaning is efficient and done well. The rooms come with TV and... more

The hotel is acceptable if you just want to sleep and do your business at ASU, which is right across the street. My room (312) had a tub with obvious patchwork, and the remote did not work well. The main issue is that front desk was not the most competent in understanding and implementing instructions. My first problem was reserving... more

I don't understand. I have stayed at this hotel numerous times and have never had a negative experience at all. Rooms are clean. Staff is awesome, Shuttle service is exceptional. I was able to sit on the balcony in the morning and the evening and enjoy the wheather. It was great. Walking distance to downtown Tempe. I have a son... more

Recently I stayed at this hotel; it was an unforgetable experience. We had arranged "special rates" for $59 for over 20 rooms only to see that those are their normal rates. Two of the floors were "under construction" and only one floor, the 7th, had ice, with the temps in the 100+ day and night. The weekend stay was for... more

I stayed in this hotel for a week in May 2007. I made 2 phone calls to Germany. Both calls were operator assisted calls directly billed to my credit card. In both cases I spoke to the operator, gave my credit card details, and the operator confirmed that my credit card would be charged, not the hotel bill. During checkout... more
