Very close to the airport, however you'll feel like your miles away from all the city. The hotel is carved into a scenic mountain, great pools, nestled hot tubs, fabulous views. The hotel is going through a renovation, however, the rooms are clean, meeting rooms are great, food, bar and health club are equal. The staff is incredible, very friendly... More

My husband and I are currently staying her and will be checking to tomorrow. He has been here all week for a conference and I arrived Friday. Overall we are both happy with most service and the quality of the resort. Weather at the lobby bar, marketcafe and top of the rock. All have been good and nice! The pools... More

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at the hotel. I am very glad that there were some interactions throughout your stay that were positive. I am truly sorry about the lack of service received at the pool however. While yes the team is to remove towels and not allow guests to reserve chairs - they need... More

The rooms were tired but the quality of the amenities and staff made up for the 80s rooms. The pools were amazing but the amount of noise from the private function at the pool was distracting in the evening. I would stay in the building farthest from the pool if you want it quiet.

We had our daughter's wedding at The Buttes. We got to enjoy four days of superb service. The staff were all happy and helpful. They made the weekend very special. The resort is built into the side of the peak. Some of the hotel walls are the native stone. The pool complex includes several large pools, about five hot tubs... More

Just a short walk down the hill to Tempe Diablo Stadium, or you can catch a ride on one of the shuttle carts the hotel runs for free. Our patio room was spacious, and having the mini fridge was helpful for traveling with family. We've stayed here several times, but this was our first with a patio room. It was... More

We were actually very pleased when we first arrived. The property looked good, the staff was great and the rooms were comfortable. No complaints there. But the pool area was an issue. Despite a sign that indicated reserving chairs wasn't allowed, people went to the pool early and reserved all the chairs so when we got to the pool, there... More

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience here at the property. I am sorry that the services at the pool fell below expectation. We have signage all throughout the pool asking guests to not reserve chairs and we should be enforcing this policy. The service time is not acceptable either. We appreciate your feedback and will share... More

The Buttes is a lovely resort located just above the Angels Spring Training Stadium. I like that the Buttes offered rides down the hill to the baseball field because even though it's close, it's far to walk for us. (bad backs) The grounds are beautiful. The rooms are nice, although I would have preferred to have a patio room. I... More

Highlights of review. Pool was dirty, salty, not well kept. Room was extremely dated and not worth the price. If you still decide to stay here, do not get the "resort view". Waste of money. We were taken for a few dollars on two occasions. One we corrected, the second we didn't realize until it was too late. Long version...... More

Family tradition dictates we travel to Arizona each year fro Spring Training, Cactus League style! We have always stayed at The Buttes and will continue doing so. The hotel is obviously undergoing renovation and it is welcome. If one wishes to attend games at Diablo Stadium (Angels), there is no better place to stay than the Buttes, as the stadium... More

Lovely grounds, pool and views. The architecture of the hotel is somewhat dated, but the rooms are typical Marriott rooms. We found the service to be very friendly and efficient. The prices on food and drinks were extremely good, especially for a resort hotel. We visited during Spring Training, so there were lots of families. I know when my kids... More
