I would recommend it to friends coming this way! Recently updated very nice rooms! Charm of the 40's with modern amenities! The staff was friendly and very helpful! We enjoyed our stay in this quaint little desert town!

Not many other choices. Old and shows it's age. It worked for an overnight stay, having arrived late and left early. Allowed us to catch a few winks and continue on our journey. Probably as clean is it could get for such an old motel that hasn't been updated in decades. The room was very small and didn't afford much... More

Let's be honest: this place is dumpy. It's an old and fairly run-down motel (used to be the El Portal) that has had some paint slapped over drywall that has seen better days. I do appreciate that it was pretty clean and that it was funky with printed sheets and mismatched furniture - not your typical hotel matchy-matchy stuff. The... More

After visiting Boyce Thompson Arboretum decided to explore the area bit more and stayed at this motel. The room was clean and comfortable. Since it was right on the highway 60 I was expecting lot of highway noise throughout the noise but was pleasantly surprised at how quite it was at night. There are few eateries within walking distance. A... More

My wife and I just spent 8 nights here. The motel is old but was very clean and we were comfortable. Amazingly, we never saw a single bug in the room all week. The couple that manages this motel was very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. The Wi-Fi wasn't very good so... More

We stayed at the Copper Mt. motel last night. I am currently up early & enjoying the cooler August Arizona temperature while the better half sleeps in. My Review: Obviously the free wi-fi works or I wouldn't be writing this review. The front porch area on the rooms is a pleasant place to enjoy a cup of coffee & smoke... More

Spent 1 night after an evening event at Boyce Thompson Arboretum. Summer discounted rate so I was not expecting much in an economically depressed town and a roadside motel. Was I wrong! The room was delightful. Super clean, updated, decorated in a unique, personalized way. The bed was great. Mini fridge and microwave. Bathroom amenities a "step above". Dollar store... More

Rooms were small and in only fair condition, The door had a single button lock -- and so it was not very secure. A single small air-conditioner tried to cool the rooms; ti worked OK in April but probably not in June, No ice for the room. Its not Best Western or even Super 8, even though the charge was... More

We spent 2 nights at the Copper Mountain and found it to be a great location for exploring the area and visiting Boyce Thompson Arboretum. The management and housekeepers were friendly and helpful. The kitchenette was very handy to have. Larger-size people would have a hard time utilizing the very narrow shower, and our bed sagged in the middle, but... More

Small and basic, but colorful, comfortable and clean. I love these old but renovated motels! So much character. The owner was friendly. Everyone we came across in town was friendly. The town is hurting financially; it is obvious as you drive around. So I was pleased to support a few restaurants and the motel during a very short stay, rather... More
