I am dismayed to read some of the reviews of both the lodge and the village. Do people realize that this is a remote place at the BOTTOM of the Grand Canyon? This village is like going to a third world country. There are stray, mangy dogs everywhere and the village stinks like the horse crap that is everywhere you look. Considering its the only place to stay and hard to get a reservation, it was much better than we thought it would be. No TV or internet services. The rooms were spacious, clean and were serviced daily. The only downside is that the food in the cafe in the town was terrible. more
