First let me say that I read a lot of reviews before booking. If you're older or maybe not as fit. We're not all twenty and zero percent body fat. Stay at the lodge the hot shower and flush toilets are worth any amount of money. It's clean, had a good nights sleep and a hot shower. Couldn't ask for... More

Thanks to other reviewers we timed our descent and first day's activities to fit the check-in and cafe times. Just don't plan on being too aggressive about how much you do on the day gou get there. This is not a good place for impatience. It's a place to relax after a nice hike. The motel is definitely run down... More

I was frankly expecting a rundown place given the rather challenging location. The front-office seemed to support that. But the lady at the counter was quite nice and helpful. The rooms were clean with two queen beds. No tv or phone but we didn't need that. Had some wifi which was a pleasant surprise. Bathroom was clean and functional. Central... More

As you walk into the office of this lodge, the front entry way was not swept, office seems cluttered. But once you get to the room, the room smells fresh and clean. We had room 24, that was the end unit on the second floor. No one walked in front of the room and it was very nice. I spend... More

It's pretty much perfect for the situation where you spent all day hiking the canyon and falls, and return to the Havasupai Reservation to get some sleep before doing it again the next day. It may not be a spa but we were extremely greatfull for the hospitality.

We stayed 2 nights in July and were happy with the room which was larger then expected, was clean and had a fairly comfortable bed. The air conditioning was awesome and kept the room super cool in the 100 degree temps and having a hot shower was wonderful! When we arrived all we wanted was a shower and a bed... More

This lodge is better than what 2 stars may suggest. I'm giving it 2 stars compared to other hotels that I've stayed at, none of which were at the bottom of a canyon on a Native American Reservation miles and miles from other civilization. When we first got to our room, it was better than what we expected. It was... More

You're in an isolated village down in the canyon where everything has to be brought in by pack animal or helicopter, so don't expect the Hilton. Or the Holiday Inn. Or even Motel 6. But after a day of hot, dusty hiking, you will be glad to settle for a shower, a real bed with pillows, electricity, and air conditioning.... More

The Havasupai Lodge is operated by the same folks as The View in Monument Valley and Sacred Canyon Lodge in Canyon de Chelly. We arrived a bit early at the lodge and our rooms were not ready. We decided to go to the local grocery store and then have lunch at the nearby cafe to kill some time. The rooms... More

The place was clean and pleasant, which is good considering how remote it is. However, beware: you can only check in between 1 and 5 pm; so, if you hike down and want to go see the falls in the morning, you need to either leave your stuff unsecured at the lobby (assuming you find it open) or lug it...
