in my opinion, which is camping. The lodge is not 4 star hotel, but it IS the only lodging option other than camping. Some may debate whether or not it is "worth" the price, considering the location and other options it is well worth the price. Check-in was quick (and I even forgot my reservation receipt that they tell you... More

We had a tough time getting through to make a reservation but I'm so glad that we did! Expect to call multiple times before getting through but stick with it because it's worth it to have a bed and shower after hiking all day. They do not require a deposit in the off-season but have a credit card ready if... More

Pricey, but you have a bed, running shower, towels and such, electrical outlet, no tv. The staff of lodge were nice. However, I found the village to not be tidy for such beautiful falls that surround. The kids in village were listening to rap music, had to be middle school and as me and ex boyfriend walked by, the kid... More

I tried calling several times to reserve a room at the lodge and finally someone answered. So be patient if you want a room. The room was clean but nothing fancy. The bed was comfortable but the curtains were worn out, didn't shut completely. The dead lock was missing. The building needs many repairs. There's no tv but they have... More

The lodge has electricity and running water. A bathroom is nice to have and a bed to sleep on is really good after 8 miles of hiking. Everything is very basic. No refrigerator, no microwave, no alarm clock, no phone, no coffee...so be prepared. The WiFi is good. The waterfalls are worth making do for a couple of days.

The is a great place in the bottom of the Grand Canyon. It isnt the Ritz. If you are looking for the Ritz this definitely isn't the place to stay. If you are looking for a comfortable and fairly spacious room with a hot shower and comfortable bed. This is definitely it.

My stay was much the same of the other reviewers, more toward the average than the good! The location is one of a kind and a great place to stay, especially if you encounter rain like we did! It's a warm, clean and roomy double room that looked much more appealing than a tent at the time. Even though the... More

Our first impression was not good. I had booked 3 rooms for 2 nights long time in advance. We were the last group to arrive that day and two of the rooms had problems, so we could not use the bath or the sink. We were moved to rooms without problems for the second night. The location in this very... More

A group of us hiked the 8.5 miles down to this location at the bottom of Grand Canyon. It is on the reservation of the Native American people who live here. The location itself is a wonderful place to visit, with no fewer than 3 waterfalls and pools in which to swim within a 1 hour hike of the lodge.... More

The room was very clean and well enjoyed after the hike down. We did not use the air/heat...and it was perfect. We were on the lower level and it was nice not to have to climb the stairs (#9). We used the picnic tables outside to cook our meals. It was nice to meet the other guests. There is a... More
