Old and in disrepair, staff try to do their best but more is needed. Extremely short on suitable parking. Broken up cement and poorly patched thru breezeway, my wife fell down due to shoddy workmanship n when asked for band-aids or medical equipment to stop the bleeding and cover up the damages, offered 2 small band-aids with no apparent concern... Although the pros outweighed the cons, and we would stay here again, there is certainly room for improvement. Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Towels were plush. Bed was comfortable. Restaurant across the street had good food. Motel was quiet. Pillows were comfy. Lots of hot water and great water pressure in the shower. Carpet seemed... More

Can't imagine anyone giving an even average rating for this property. The bed skirts, curtains and carpet our room were dirty and worn out. Chairs in the room showed large stains. Bathroom tile was stained and dirty. No bathroom vent or heat and the floor in the bathroom area shows evidence that the floor is sinking. Towels were old. Crumbling... More

Nice enough motel and a very large gallery of western motif artwork. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and it was very quiet. The internet connection was spotty. The guy at the desk said they had problems with the signal repeaters. The place is older and the plumbing is a bit weak.

Here's the deal. Reed's lodge is a simple one, maybe two star hotel. Not what I would usually check into. But it doesn't get any better in a remote location like Springerville. The place is run by a family I know and the hotel is located about 100 yards from my family home. Needless to say it's where you stay... More

We booked two rooms with connecting doors in the older section of Reed’s Lodge several months prior to our arrival. But when we appeared we found Roxanne busy at her computer trying to solve a problem: the occupant of one of the rooms assigned to us had decided not to leave. Her solution was to give us rooms in the... More

We made this an overnight stop after leaving Sierra Vista late and driving the slow, scenic Hwy 191 north. The hotel was almost full; as there is a new power plant being built and the motel is full of the construction crew. My husband loves older motels and this one is great choice. We were advised parking can be a... More

Thank you for the nice comments about our place. We are glad you enjoyed the Coronado National Scenic Byway that leads up here from the south (Hwy 191). We do try hard to see that our rooms are clean and comfortable, and to minimize noise for our customers. You deserve a quiet, good night's sleep. The work at the power... More

My car broke down near Springerville, AZ recently. Initially I planned to only stay one night at Reed's Lodge after dropping my car off at the mechanic across the street. Reed's Lodge gave me a great rate and a smile and conversation. The room was very clean and decorated nicely with western paintings. The hospitality I received not only from... More

If you're reading this you've decided to stay in Springerville/ it's a tiny town in the middle of nowhere- so you won't find a W Hotel or a Marriott . What you will find is a cute, old historic hotel that will take you back to a time when people took days not hours to get to there destination. The... More
