This is a great place to stay if you are coming to the Sierra Vista area for birding or star gazing. Located on the San Pedro River with access to private land adjacent to the river there is lots of area to explore. A heronry is located just downstream of the house with a spotting scope by the pool to... More

My wife had a big birthday and I found the perfect place to celebrate it with her at Lazy Dog Ranch. It met all of her wishes for a relaxing and fun birthday get-away: quiet, out in beautiful nature, a horse (Patron) on the property to bond with, and of course a place we can include our two labradoodles in... This is the only place to be for my wife and I. Third time was a charm - same as the first. Michael and Catherine are the best laid back hosts and are always full of stories and fun. There are numerous hikes around the San Pedro Riparian area as well as about 13 in the Huachucas. Busy days followed... More

Our party stayed in the two marvelous rooms at Lazy Dog Ranch with our dogs and loved it. Michael and Cath are terrific with incredibly interesting stories, and from Michael one can learn alot about what goes on near the border areas in this state. He is a font of knowledge and also very entertaining. The breakfasts were super and... More

Meeting Michael and Cathy, you can immediately see why they own a B&B. They are both so personable and welcoming. Of course, our first welcome was from all the dogs, and my daughter was very happy with all her furry companions. Michael kindly let her help feed the horse, donkey, mule, and goat. We all enjoyed swinging down by the... More

Not only do Michael and Cathy make you feel very welcome, so do the dogs, horse, mule, mini-goat and donkey. Marguerite (the donkey) greeted me one day when we came in and snuggled up to me like my dogs! I'm pleased to have gotten to know these folks who have rescued these animals and provided them a home and I'm... More

Anyone who travels with a dog and stays at a big motel chain knows what I'm about to say. We check-in and roll our eyes at the $10-$25 extra charge for your dog even though most of us have travel companions that are better behaved than some of the kids. (I will admit, there are exceptions in both cases!) We... More

We (me, my husband and our recent college grad daughter) spent four nights over Memorial Day weekend in the cozy Casa at the Lazy Dog Ranch. Cathy and Mike McCormack's B&B turned out to be the perfect home base while visiting our son, who is in AIT at Fort Huachuca and feeling quite "dog deprived". We spirited him away from... More

My husband and I recently stayed 2 nights at the Lazy Dog Ranch. We had a wonderful time and so enjoyed the peacefulness and especially the animals! Their 5 dogs greeted us as we arrived, and our golden retriever was in heaven playing with them for two days! So fortunate to have a fenced in property where he could run... More

Just spent three days here and absolutely loved everything about this place – the quiet, sunny ranch down a short gravel road along the San Pedro River, the friendly and helpful owners, the animals (particularly the dogs who would greet us), the birds, and the spacious suites. I really enjoyed the Southwest décor in the rooms and the colorful Breakfast... More
