Very cool B&B - I am so happy I found this little gem... It is somewhat hard to find as it is not listed on Booking, but somehow I went into Expedia and found this place! This is a REAL place, as far as one can imagine from Hilton or Marriot... So if a big hotel and a "yes sir"... More

This is a B&B with character--a lot of thought and imagination went into the rooms, especially the Hawaiian Suite, where you feel like you're living in your own private jungle. We never slept better and felt transported into some kind of dream, with the sounds of the tree frogs mixed with breeze through the palms and surf rumbling in the... More

The weather was very hot when we were there, so very uncomfortable without air conditioning. We enjoyed Raven and Mark and all the history they told us. The breakfasts were wonderful and very delicious. Very unique, personal atmosphere, and enjoyable.

Very Aloha. This is a small private home, and quite different from other B&B's we have experienced, so we were surprised at first, and warmed quickly. The proprietors, Raven and Mark, are warm and welcoming, and so relaxing and enjoyable. Mark told us a lot about the island and various attractions, etc. We felt so at home. I got the... More

We were greeted on arrival by Raven and shown around the property then to our room...very nice beds and bedding in a huge space with outdoor facilities that are totally awesome. Our stay was during the Wednesday evening market, lively, great entertainment and food... More

This bed and breakfast is a true Hawai'i experience. Raven was incredibly hospitable and made top notch breakfast from locally grown fruits, most of which were grown on her property. Mark is likely one of the most knowledgeable and welcoming people in the area. He has a strong knowledge of Hawaian culture, politics, botany, surfing etc. He was able to... More

In all my years of traveling (60) and miles I have traveled (3x around our beautiful planet) I have yet to meet a hostess with the grace, kindness and thoughtfulness as Raven. We spent a wonderful week with her and her lovely home right on the lava, ocean side. Our morning walks next to the ocean on the lava is... More

We had a wonderful stay with Raven and Mark at Ma'ukele Lodge. The setting is lovely with a great view over the lava to the ocean. Whales were seen several times from the lava rock beach during our stay. The Hawaiian Suite room was very large and comfortable. Raven always made sure we had everything we needed. The private setting... More
