I found the Canyon Lodge here on Trip Advisor and chose to stay there based on the number of positive reviews, and based on the themed rooms, specifically the train room. I specifically reserved the train room, but when we arrived Saturday afternoon we were told we could not have it because it had been given to someone else. Apparently... More

My wife and I decided to stop at Seligman as part of our Route 66 road trip. We weren't sure where to stay because all motels in town looked quite similar. After reading the reviews, we decided to stay at Canyon Lodge. Since the moment we entered, Reinhardt -the owner, a very friendly gentleman- warmly received us and greeted us,... More

We five people lodged in 3 rooms; John Wayne, Elvis Presley, and Hog Heaven. The rooms were decorated in style to the max, leaving no wall area without a commemorative of the suite. Besides the décor, the rooms were impeccably kept; furnishings were without blemish, leaving me to think this room had just been done, but looking at other reviews,... More

This was the first night stay of our Route 66 drive. My husband really wanted the entire Rt 66 experience--drive as long as we could and then stop and find a room. Personally, I enjoy staying at the Hilton family of hotels and having reservations made far in advance. After reading the reviews after we left the Grand Canyon Caverns,... More

A few years ago I did a road trip with a friend across the Southwest. We were driving down Rte 40 and it was getting late, so we pulled off onto Historic Rte 66 in hopes of finding a decent place to spend the night. This place didn't look like much on the outside, and I was a little weary... More

We have been wanting to go to Seligman to see the Route 66 town and finally had the opportunity to do so. We are realistic enough to know that the motels in this town are not going to be 5* lodgings. We carefully researched the reviews of all the motels in town and decided on this one. I called them... More

Drove from sedona , thought may need to stay overnight, no need could have driven on to kingman, not much at all in seligman but quirky place , worth seeing. some shops all selling same things, few restaurants. Now to hotel , stayed in john wayne room , quite small, bedding not up to standard sheets pilled etc. We checked... More

Driving from Flagstaff to Havasupai Lodge and needed a place to stay for the night. We drove through Seligman and came upon this lodge. Owner was very friendly and shared the history of his hotel, route 66 and Seligman with us. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

Reinhardt and his small team are fantastic, sharing some of the local history as well as providing good service.. The room is spacious and clean and the themes are fun. Exactly the type of Route 66 experience we were looking for on our roadtrip.

Our family was en route back to Colorado and were planning on a stay in a chain hotel in Flagstaff, which we learned was sold out, as were most places in the area (Labor Day weekend). We quickly looked on TripAdvisor for places near where we were and found the Canyon Lodge and its many wonderful reviews. I'm happy to... More
