Not sure what all the bad reviews are about? We stayed two nights and have no complaints. The Mandarin Oriental it is of course not, but it ticked all the right boxes for our needs: Beautiful view, great location, room was clean, bed was fine, room was quiet and the pool/hot tub with a view on the mountains was just... Room is outdated, dirty and beds and bedding is old. One top sheet with old thin blanket. Lumpy pillows. No buffer between rooms . Shower noise in room next door is loud. On positive side great view from room if you pay for it and great location in town. No breakfast.

The location of the "Resort" is ideal, the view from the back half of the property is to die for. This resort is just a few items from being excellent. It's the small things, to be honest it looks like they are cheap. Such as 2 tissues left in the box with no replacement in the room. 8 squares left... More

We stayed here two nights in room 119 with a balcony view. The view is breathtaking. You can hear the river from your bed. The room was clean, but dated. The bathroom was tiny. The pool and hot tub can't be beat especially the view. The walk down to the river is treacherous but well worth the climb back up.... More

This friendly hotel is centrally located. An easy walk brought us to food & shopping. The hotel was clean, quiet, and provided great views and access to Oak Creek. There was coffee each morning in the lobby. A decent breakfast place is across the street. We will stay here again for sure!

Comfortable room with a beautiful view! Walking distance to downtown area, nice shops and restaurants. Short drive to beautiful hiking trails. Very pedestrian friendly area, felt safe walking around at night.

We liked the Cedar Resort for several reasons. It was centrally located in upper Sedona. Starbucks was conveniently located close to the motel. Our back river room balcony had a great view, and we did not hear our neighbors at night, a big plus for me, since I am a light sleeper. The rooms were older but adequate and comfortable,... More

We happened upon this Hotel after we had a bad experience at the Arroyo Pinion Hotel in Sedona. It was Spring Break and the town was packed. We got the last room they had. The location is perfect, an easy walk into town. The rooms are well kept and the sound of Oak Creek is lovely at night. The upstairs... More

We decided to do an overnight trip in Sedona after visiting Prescott. We were very happy with the decision we made for this hotel. It definitely is within walking distance of tons of shopping and restaurants. Its in a great location-we decided with the canyon view and we weren't disappointed. It was breath-taking!! Great views for an even greater price-can't... More

The Cedars Resort was a happy accident for us during an unplanned stop in Sedona. We were given the last creekside room, which is exactly what it sound like. We had a lovely balcony overlooking Oak Creek and the room was exactly as described by the courteous young woman at the front desk: clean and well equipped and comfortable. It... More
