Hubby and I have been visiting Sedona for 8 years, we've stayed at a variety of places including The Summit. I was a bit nervous about seeing that it was located on one the infamous "round abouts" in Sedona. (Please out of state and country travelers, read about how to maneuver through a round about before trying and deciding to... More

2 nights stay here before we needed to change plans. As previous reviews location is good although a decent walk into west Sedona to the bars and restaurants. Pool is tucked away down the stairs on patio deck again with a tremendous view. Rooms clean and tidy with all mod cons..and balconies on rear aspect rooms..you can also access the... More

Drive into Resort? Was a big disappointment, they need to take the word Resort out of the name. Should be Cedars Motel? Very nice staff, rooms are dated with shag carpet, non-smoking room did smell like smoke when first walked in, looked at another room, was too small for 4 people, so we opened the sliding door and aired out... I've been seriously pondering over doing this review for 2 weeks now; I want to be fair. What prompted me was the unexpected, 1-nite visit to a very small town hotel yesterday, which reminded me of what a hotel room SHOULD be (separate review forthcoming). OK, now for my review of the Cedars Resort in Sedona: 1) Don't let the... More

The Cedars Resort is an old established Sedona motor hotel that has been nicely renovated. It is located at the "Y", which means it is at the round about at hwy 179 and hwy 89A, almost in the center of town. It is an easy walk to the tourist shops and restaurants of Sedona. Our room was very clean and... More

We chose this for its location, value and scenic views. We were not disappointed. Average room, very small bathroom on the top floor. There are a handful of rooms that are on the front right side of the building that overlook the creek. Hotel was within reasonable walking distance to the uptown shops including the Tapalgue Plaza. Their free complimentary... More

We stayed in room 121, which is on the bottom floor. The views are beautiful, overlooking the trees at the creek onto the rock formations and canyons across the vista. The rooms are simple, have a mini fridge, television, complimentary coffee, and complimentary soaps and shampoos. It was a very pleasant stay for us. We received a good rate during... More

We had a tremendous view outside our balcony window of Snoopy Rock and of the Oak Creek dogleg 100 feet below. Despite being in the middle of Sedona, our room afforded us peace and quiet along with the soothing sound of Oak Creek flowing with gentle rapids through the wooded area behind the resort. The rooms were comfortable if not... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Cedars. The location at the Sedona "T" (meeting of the two main hwys) was perfect for seeing and doing all that we had in mind. Our room was very nice and indeed had a beautiful view of the canyon. It was lovely to sit and watch the colors change throughout the sunset hours. The... More

Upon arrival in Sedona I was disappointed in what I perceived to be a commercial shopping area. It was not at all what I expected. Them we started to look for a place to stay and all the places seemed too expensive. We called cedars and with somebody who seemed nice and helpful so we decided to check it out.... More
