Awesome balcony view. Quiet and restful. Close to the markets area. Starbucks nearby. A wide variety of places to eat. Bring your swimsuit. There is a pool and spa that was not advertized. The area shuts down about 10:00 PM.

I stayed at a mountain-view room on the second floor - it was amazing to wake up to the view of the red rocks every morning! The room was spacious and I liked the decor. The location is a short walk away from the uptown but is convenient because it's located at the "Y" intersection. You can easily walk to... More

The Cedars is definitely not a resort, but it is a nice motel in a great location. The rooms along the back of the property overlook Oak Creek and the red rocks, and even though they are near the main highway, they are very quiet. There are many restaurants, shops, and hikes within walking or short driving distance. If you... More

First the bad... Our room had a dirty, hairy blanket with human DNA stains. Gross. It was very hot inside the room. (temperature outside was 103 degrees). The headboard and decorative bath window was layered with thick dust. Dirty, moldy bath mat. Loud A/C. I immediately notified the front desk about the condition of the room. An apologetic employee arrived... More

Hubby and I have been visiting Sedona for 8 years, we've stayed at a variety of places including The Summit. I was a bit nervous about seeing that it was located on one the infamous "round abouts" in Sedona. (Please out of state and country travelers, read about how to maneuver through a round about before trying and deciding to... More

2 nights stay here before we needed to change plans. As previous reviews location is good although a decent walk into west Sedona to the bars and restaurants. Pool is tucked away down the stairs on patio deck again with a tremendous view. Rooms clean and tidy with all mod cons..and balconies on rear aspect rooms..you can also access the... More

Drive into Resort? Was a big disappointment, they need to take the word Resort out of the name. Should be Cedars Motel? Very nice staff, rooms are dated with shag carpet, non-smoking room did smell like smoke when first walked in, looked at another room, was too small for 4 people, so we opened the sliding door and aired out... I've been seriously pondering over doing this review for 2 weeks now; I want to be fair. What prompted me was the unexpected, 1-nite visit to a very small town hotel yesterday, which reminded me of what a hotel room SHOULD be (separate review forthcoming). OK, now for my review of the Cedars Resort in Sedona: 1) Don't let the... More

The Cedars Resort is an old established Sedona motor hotel that has been nicely renovated. It is located at the "Y", which means it is at the round about at hwy 179 and hwy 89A, almost in the center of town. It is an easy walk to the tourist shops and restaurants of Sedona. Our room was very clean and... More

We chose this for its location, value and scenic views. We were not disappointed. Average room, very small bathroom on the top floor. There are a handful of rooms that are on the front right side of the building that overlook the creek. Hotel was within reasonable walking distance to the uptown shops including the Tapalgue Plaza. Their free complimentary... More
