Stayed at Kings Ransom in early April 2008 with my wife and 2-year old son. Reminded me of what Arizona might have been like in the 1960s but with the modern conveniences. The room was larger than normal but not big. The fit and finish of the room was average and totally comfortable. We like to stay in first class... more

Booked the suite and this was great for a family. Very comfortable rooms, spacious bathroom with spa bath which was a real treat after a day's sightseeing. The pool was lovely, there's a great mexican restaurant next door (the restaurant was closed as it was Sunday) and the location was convenient for travel. Breakfast was included and plentiful so can't... more

The hotel is divided into two sections, the courtyard which is centered around the pool (with no AC in those rooms) and the Trailhead rooms where my husband and I stayed for one night. Room was decently large with a king bed and queen pull out sofabed. nice jacuzzi tub which we didn't take advantage of. the Bath and Body... more

We stayed in a two room suite-- a room with a trundle, tv, kitchenette and table, and another room with a king bed and bathroom. Worked fine for us, was clean and newly remodeled. Patio from both rooms with red-rock views. The property here is really nice. Basic, but clean and comfortable. Staff was okay, the older woman was helpful... more

This hotel is between the road from the freeway to the center of town and a trailhead. It is a short walk to some shops and restaurants, but not easily accessible to the downtown or uptown areas without dealing with traffic. This said, it is a very decent basic place, well maintained, and with a nice pool area and a... more

After bidding for days and being rejected on priceline for the Radisson Poco Diablo resort and Hilton, we finally gave up and found this hotel's rates cheaper and pictures even better than them. My most important features are cleanliness, nice bedding and newer bathroom. Great value. The hotel is still in motel structure but the rooms are nice, refrigerator available... more

A great location, hiking trails right behind the hotel. We stayed in a trailhead room which was very quiet and clean. They room size was very nice, larger than the standard hotel room. Breakfast is horrible, plan on driving elsewhere for breakfast. Elote restaurat, located in the hotel, was wonderful. Excellent service and amazing food. The hotel is centrally located... more

My wife and two kids (1 and 4 years olds) took a road trip to Arizona to see the Grand Canyon and Sedona. For the one evening we stayed in Sedona we ended up at the King's Ransom. Here are my thoughts: POSITIVES: 1. Location: This is located right in the heart of Sedona and within walking distance of many... more

We were looking for a reasonably-priced smallish hotel in Sedona, and the Kings Ransom looked good on-line and had decent reviews on Trip Advisor. The location was very convenient, although there was construction right out front on Rte. 179 (not the fault of the hotel, I realize!) We had reserved a second floor "trail head" room, located at the rear... more

We were totally happy with our room here at the hotel. It is centrally located just off the busy section of town. Sedona is such a beautiful place you really wont spend much time in any room anywhere. Stay outside and enjoy the views, shopping , dining, tours and such. Our room had air conditioning, coffee maker, cold refridgerator, tv and... more
