I had booked a couple of nights at the Sugar Loaf Lodge based on TripAdvisor reviews and overall I was pleased. I did feel some of the reviews had incorrectly set my expectations too high, although I really knew for the price that this didn't make any sense. Some of the comments about terrific location near all the stores made... More

This hotel has excellent value for this location. We could not find prices that matched this hotel on the road trip from GA, and this is Sedona. Let me be clear about this place. It is not great when compared to a 120 dollar motel, but for half that price?! This place has a decent pool and the location is... More

Selected this facility based on prior Trip Advisor reviews and was not disappointed. The room was not fancy but was clean and had all the amenities needed -ie, Wi-Fi, refrigerator, pool, good A/C, etc. The continental breakfast was limited but was very good. Jacob the motel manager was very friendly and competent. I highly recommend this facility for an inexpensive... More

Sugar Loaf Lodge isn't the Ritz, but it is clean, comfortable, quiet and inexpensive. Big room with King bed, fridge, microwave and a good A/C and shower. Located on the main drag. Had a nice looking, well kept pool too. Convenient to grocery, shopping and restaurants. Had a great, no hassle, experience spending a night here.

Comfortable two night stay in room 2 which has two queen beds for $67.70 per night in June 2014. The parking lot on this side is very narrow. The room was clean, with good water pressure in the shower. The pool area is open 24 hours and it was wonderful swimming under the stars of Sedona late at night. The... More

If you want a reasonably priced room in Sedona and don't mind staying in a 2-3 star hotel, then book a room here. I did based on the favorable reviews I read on TripAdvisor. The Sugar Loaf Lodge is an older single story property. We arrived around 6pm and had no trouble checking in. The rooms have been spruced up... More

Stayed at Sugar Loaf one night in our way back to Scottsdale from the Grand Canyon. It is the half way point. Rooms are outdated but we used it only to sleep. A very quiet motel with a very friendly owner "Jerry". Location is right on the highway within walking distance of many eateries. Worth a try if you don't... More

We chose Sugar Loaf Lodge because of positive reviews and affordability. It did not disappoint. The rooms were very clean, quiet and basic motel layout -- when we booked the owner said the only room left was close to the street and might be a little noisy. We did not notice any noise and even though it was on the... More

Hotels in Sedona are not cheap! We choose this motel for the great price (around $65/night). Needs to be updated from outside, but the room totally surprised us. The room was clean, updated, with modern ammenities. Plus the comforter was white which is something you usually don't find even at those costly hotels. The white comforter allowed me to have... This was a great option for my friend and I. We did not want to spend a lot of money in a hotel, but comfort and cleanliness was important. We also knew that we wanted to hike and not be in the room a lot. The bed was great, nice a and soft. The room has a microwave, fridge and... More
