This is a great little hotel. My family and I stayed two nights and loved it. It's only steps away from Sedona Uptown with all the shopping and restaurants you will need. The place is VERY CLEAN and the lady in the office was superb. Locally owned hotels are a great choice, especially when they are as nice as Star.... More

When my wife and I started planning our extended road trip we looked for opportunities to stay at small family owned places whenever possible. We found just what we were looking for in Sedona at the Star Motel. My wife made the reservation well in advance so imagine our surprise and delight when we were greeted by name upon our... More

Rude snooty manager, made us move our car from an unmarked parking space in the shade down 2 to in front of our room. Also argued with us about getting ice !? Seriously?? Don't bother with this place. Also way overpriced for what we got. Close to downtown but lots of traffic noise.

flnettles, I am sorry that you thought I was being rude, when I asked you to move your car. We have parking places directly in front of most all our rooms, for the convenience of our guests. The guest staying in the room, where you had initially parked, had specifically reserved that room for the shaded parking. We ask all... More

Where to begin? From the first call making arrangements with Ann, to thanking her for a wonderful four days we had, all went smooth and seamless. Firstly, if you are looking for a hotel with all the bells and whistles you may read no further. IF you are looking for that perfect little hideaway nestled all by itself away from... More

Booked a stay here at the last minute when some other hotels weren't available. Very happy with location to where we stayed. Nice owner and clean, simple and pleasant room. The towels weren't too small, but brought my own soap because I read soap was tiny. There is a fridge and you have to ask for a coffee maker if... More

We like this because they have a room upstairs that is basically a small apartment. This way we can enjoy the area and come back to our own little home each night. It's clean and well taken care of, even though it's not very upscale. Kitchen has flatware and utensils for cooking and eating, so you could bring your own... More

Spent one night here and it was great. It is very reasonably priced for Sedona. Small basic room but very clean and quiet. The location is outstanding, right downtown and within walking distance of great restaurants, shops and the rest of the downtown area. Owner was very friendly. Wifi worked fine. I would definitely stay here again.

I happened to stumble across this hotel while driving around Sedona looking for a room on a recent Friday morning when it became too cold to camp. The place looked unassuming enough from the outside, with no name on the exterior, but simply a sign with a star on it. But in Sedona even unassuming can cost you an arm... More

I echo the sentiments of the vast majority before me. Great price, perfect location, neat and clean, wonderful owner, but geez that soap has got to go. There are only 2 minor complaints that totally could be resolved. The towels are super small and the soap is ridiculous. Not only is it the tiniest bars of soap I've ever seen,... More

This motel is in the perfect location. It is right at the main y in uptown Sedona. The uptown shops and restaurants are just a few steps away. The lady that runs the place is very friendly and helpful. She gave us some great tips on where to eat and how to get to certain places. This is a small,... More
