We had no reservation. We had a tent in a box in the bag provided by the discount store 2500 miles away. A sleeping bag in the same bag and a pump up mattress. One match and a flash light. We had fun! It all worked. We had a choice of campsites. The wood we purchased was wet and smokey... More

We loved this campground at first. Unfortunately we were down wind from the bathrooms and while it wasn't a constant stink- it was really gross. The campsites are not spaced out- so be ready to have neighbors. Also- make reservations in advance if you want any choice in which campsite you get.

This was our very first time visiting Pine Flat campground. We usually stay at another campground nearby but wanted to try a spot further past Slide Rock. The campground was very manicured, clear of debris A designated spot for our tent....which was ok, it worked. There was a lot of space between each camp site for privacy. We liked the... More

Pros - sound of Oak Creek, canyon views, clean campground/pit toilet, nice camp hosts Cons - sites are very close to one another (bizarrely so, such as with site #10 and the two adjacent sites), families with crying babies the evening we stayed there.

We loved this campground and the camp hosts; we just did not want to leave. Campsites are very clean, covered grills and great fire pits. The bathrooms are kept very clean as well. The hosts run a very tight camp making sure everyone follows the rules; no loud noise after 10 etc and we liked that as well. Perfect for... More

We came up very early this season to camp and take in the sights from all the areas nearby. The weather was nearly perfect everyday we were there, beware that the temperature was on average 10 degrees cooler than Sedona. We were on the "reserved" side of the campgrounds and I'll tell you what, you could definitely see why. The... More

Learned a lesson to never take the last available site in a campground. Ours was adjacent to - and downwind from - the bathrooms, which were pit toilets. The stench was awful, and totally spoiled the view of Oak Creek Canyon. We could hear the Creek; but no access to it from our site. Had an RV that was hard... More

We have stayed at this campground for three weekends over the last three years in a row. We really like Pine Flat, but there are a few drawbacks. Situated north of Sedona in the Coconino National Forest, it has absolutely fantastic views of the cliffs along Oak Creek Canyon. The campground is pretty well shaded with mostly very large Pine...
