We had a lovely stay in the governor suite. Loved the vintage furniture, jet tube and steamer in shower was awesome! On our wedding night however, we had a rude guest come knocking at our door asking us to keep the noise and walking about down cause his family w/kids were trying to sleep...it was a Saturday night & not... I have heard about El Portal for years and finally had the opportunity to stay for one night. I am sorry to say that it was a little disappointing. The Adobe room was rather "tired" looking in terms of decor and at the price paid, I expected a much higher quality of mattress, sheets and towels. Additionally, the extra $15... More

We're sorry you did not like the adobe look. It is our easy access room for those with wheelchairs, etc. All furnishings of El Portal Sedona Hotel are authentic to the period between 1900 and 1930. More

We were part of a group of four couples staying here, and this place was fantastic. With its Hacienda style central patio surrounded by the Lobby & Dining areas on one side and rooms all around, it was a perfect retreat in the morning to plan our excursions or at the end of the day to enjoy some wine and... I really enjoyed my stay at the El Portal. The rooms are very tastefully decorated, all individual in a good way, very comfortable, clean, well-maintained. It was a pleasure to stay there -- extremely quiet and relaxing. The one comment I might make is that the cancellation policy is a little on the draconian side. I understand that smaller boutique... El Portal is tucked away right in the heart if Sedona. It is within walking distance to town. We walked to the airport loop trail from here also. Steve and Connie were very accommodating and couldn't have been nicer! Guest would gather for a bonfire at night with drinks. If you have a dog this is the place for you.... More

We stayed here for 3 nights on our first trip to Sedona. The rooms are decorated uniquely and are very warm and inviting. This place has the feel of a B&B and makes you feel right at home. The bathtubs are amazing and I also love the fireplaces in the rooms. Make sure to eat breakfast there at least once,... More

What a wonderful experience staying here. The staff from Steve & Connie, Terry and the kitchen staff all were very attentive, helpful and so welcoming. There was nothing they would not do to make our stay memorable and rejuvenating. The breakfasts are outstanding and to be honest so much food! An incredible experience. The second visit was as wonderful as... More

This is a very small hotel, 12 rooms, next to the Tlaquepaque Shopping Center in Sedona. It is completely dog friendly. Every room allows dogs at no extra charge and ground floor rooms have outside areas for doggies to take care of business. Our room, #6 was very private and had a little private fenced in yard for the dogs.... More

We stayed at El Portal for the first time and we will return! The whole property is magical; it is a gorgeous adobe inn run by Steve & Connie. The owners have created a home-like 12 room inn that simply is one of a kind. Each room has a different vibe and decor adding to the 'Hobbit- like' feel- right... More
