We travel with three small dogs. It is hard to find a place that take dogs, let alone 3 dogs. We found this gem in Sedona. They do not just take dogs put they took our three dogs and there was no charge for them. The hotel is a very comfortable, roomy and well appointed. Steve and the staff were... More

What a wonderful place! My husband and I took our dogs to Sedona between Christmas and New Years and couldn't have picked a better place. Truly a great find in a fabulous location in Sedona. You couldn't ask for nicer people. The owners of the property, staff and guests really made you feel welcome and at home. Location wise, you... More

The El Portal was recommended by our neighbors and this lovely B&B exceeded our expectations! Steve, Connie and the girls were the nicest most accommodating, warm and friendly hosts you could ever meet. We loved the casual yet elegant settings and our Cisco died and went to dog heaven meeting and playing with Steve and Connie's Boomer and Cooper another... More

We're just back from three wintery nights at El Portal, and are already planning our next trip back. It's not Sedona that lures us back, it's the Inn itself. Steve and Connie Segner have a very special thing going at El Portal. Perfectly located right near the center of the town's "triad" layout, but tucked away as a private oasis... More

We've been Sedona on many occasions, and have probably passed by El Portal several times. We won't be passing by again - we'll be staying! Adjacent to Tlaquepaque and just befor the driveway to Los Abrigados, El Portal's location is easy to find and very convenient. Easy walking distance to Oak Creek Brewery, and a bit further to Shugrue's Grill.... More

This place is the coolest resort! First they are dog friendly! Well behaved furry kids can even accompany parents in the cozy restaurant. Second the owner Steve is an amazing cook (we had the best Thanksgiving dinner). I would highly recommend this place! (especially if your a dog lover). The location was perfect as well. More

I thoroughly enjoyed saying here. The staff was great and the room was unbelievable! It is a very rustic spot with raised ceilings, a lot of exposed logs and a generally inviting Atmosphere. More

For our anniversary weekend down in Sedona this year, we decided to take along our 100-lb dog, which we figured would limit us a bit on where we could stay and how romantic our weekend would be. El Portal ended up being a lovely alternative to other typical dog-friendly places (shabby motels or overpriced chain hotels). Warm and personal, each... More

My wife and I really enjoyed staying at this property. The room was really nicely designed and laid out. We had a great fire in the fireplace. The staff is really friendly and knowledgeable. We were even given a lift to a trailhead for a hike and picked up as well. Food was really good too. We can't wait to... More

Myself, my wife and two girls spent a few days at El Portal in August this year as part of the end of our three week US west coast trip. Above all other locations on our journey this was clearly our favourite. We felt at home from the moment we arrived and really appreciated the warm welcome and very comfortable... More
