We love Kimpton properties and this one was no exception. It was very clean and well decorated. We got a room on the creek. It was very nice to have the balcony and the sound of the water going by. The pool is nice, not huge but big enough to enjoy the water and the heat. We always enjoy the... More

Excellent and friendly service, comfortable room, beautiful view, delicious and convenient restaurant within hotel, valet parking, local shuttle service, and great uptown location within walking distance of shops and food. Couldn't have picked a better place to stay in Sedona for a weekend get away. Kimpton hotels rock, once again!

Amara is a wonderful experience, especially for East coast winter-weary visitors. All personnel went out of their way to make our stay relaxing. This resort sits in a very cozy little nook yet is very close to uptown Sedona shops and restaurants. Cocktail hour on the lawn was truly a highlight!

Greetings Lori C, I love hearing that you felt pampered and well taken care of by the entire team. Daily wine hour is a highlight for everyone including those of us that are fortunate enough to host it. As I have said many times before, it is the best hour of my week. Thank you for taking the time to... More

The Kimpton brand is synonymous with high quality properties in amazing locations, and the Amara Resort did not disappoint. The room had stunning views, was spacious and comfortable, and came with amenities I never expected. The resort has a host of activities like various yoga classes, a well appointed gym, and concierge service for anything else you can think of.... More

We loved the Amara! Nestled along a creek in touristy uptown Sedona, it manages to feel like a private oasis. There are views of the Red Rocks from the central courtyard and infinity pool. The wine hour is fun way to meet other guests and play lawn games. There is free coffee and yoga in the spa every morning. Overall,... More

This is one of the best hotels in Sedona. Beautiful view, quiet yet centrally located. Rooms are nice, service excellent. The only negative was the jacuzzi which was broken all three days we were there. We did not get a discount on the resort fee. The jacuzzi would have been nice as the weather was rather cool for the season.

Greetings Reudi S, “Best hotel in Sedona….” that is very high praise. The team appreciates the recognition as well. The Jacuzzi has been fixed and is up and running; my apologies for it being down during your stay. It is a great reason to come back and see us. Thank you for sharing your experience. Warm regards, Patrick Gaskin General... More

right in the middle of downtown Sedona, a hop away to shops/restaurants. This great little (Can I call it a boutique hotel?) is so nice! feels like a bed and breakfast- nice travelers can get together for complimentary wine/snacks in the evening- nice you can come downstairs in the mornings (even in your bathrobe!!) and grab complimentary coffee, tea, hot... Yes we think Sedona is a special, magical place and we think the Amara is a little slice of heaven as well. The Amara is a boutique hotel part of the Kimpton family of properties. Lots of perks with it being a Kimpton property; amazing staff, complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby daily, nightly wine hour, as well as... More

The location of this hotel couldn't have been better. We drove in from Flagstaff, and upon locating the hotel we just pulled up to front entrance and car was parked for us. We were able to walk right up to the main street and go to shops, restaurants, etc. so the location was great. The pool looked nice (infinity) but... More

Location, Location, Location…. Amara is just steps from the hustle and bustle of Sedona’s uptown shopping, dining and cultural hub, but the resort is situated below the main area, nestled on the banks of the creek, which makes it feel worlds away. Take a five minute stroll or jump in an Amara courtesy shuttle to any location within one mile.... More

We stayed for 6 nights in this hotel as part of a large tour of Arizona. Sedona was a place we had always wanted to visit, and we were not disappointed in it at all.
