Stayed at the Matterhorn Inn 9/6 and 9/7 (over Labor Day weekend) and just loved the place! The rooms are clean and layed out well so that taking a shower doesn't unnecessarily heat up the room. Stayed in room #43 from 9-14/9-18. Great views of Lucy and Snoopy rock from my 2nd floor balcony. I don't think it is really 16 steps up but they warn you. We stayed here for two nights in September of 2009. The room was very clean, and the views and location are the best. The staff were very friendly and we are anxious to return for another visit. Ideal location for walking to Jeep Tours, dining and shopping. Views were spectacular. Stayed on the second floor and the balcony seating made you want to stay longer. The Mattorhorn Inn is a great place to stay. The rooms are large and clean with the most spectacular view of Sedona's red rocks! The hotel staff was very helpful and courteous. We look forward to staying here anytime we have the opportunity to be in Sedona and will recommend it to all of our friends. more

I was in Sedona for business in June. The Materhorn has a great location with stunning views from the rooms. The staff is mostly friendly, and the cleaning staff is great. Overall my only complaint is that if your a smoke they have some pretty faschist rules on smoking(no smoking on your deck) Otherwise great place to stay more

The room was spacious and the view was outstanding. The staff was very helpful. At the far end of town, it is a great location for taking in the shopping area. I would suggest a second floor room because the decks are private and well shaded in the heat of day. The room was spotless and nicely decorated. more
