Just got back from a few days at the Marriott at McDowell Mountains. Was there on a business trip / Golf tournament - the phoenix open. Rooms were spacious and very very clean; they event provided cleaning cloths for the remote(s) and other areas in the room. All the staff I encountered were top notch. This hotel sits just steps... Spent a quick day at this property while in the area on business. Excellent staff on check in, very spacious room, great location, especially if one is here to golf. Grounds were immaculate and overall one of the better Marriott properties I've stayed at.....

I apparently picked the worst time to come here - during the open. Rooms were more expensive, roads were closed, limited parking, total annoyance. I suggest that the hotel put up directional signs since the obvious entrance on Bell is closed due to the open. I had to call the front desk to get directions here. The lady was very... More

Kerritex , Thank you for your review. We apologize for the noise challenges you have experienced during your stay. The many outdoor activities and concerts surrounding the city this week including the Waste Management Phoenix Open are in very close proximity to the hotel. This noise is not typical for our property and we hope you can give us another... More

I stay here every time I go to Scottsdale and I highly recommend it for business travel. This property is excellent, the staff are always friendly and accommodating, and the rooms are superb. Restaurant and Starbucks on-site are very good. They also have a gift and sundry shop which has a good variety of items. I love their 1 bedroom... More

The Scottsdale Marriott at McDowell Mountains might not be the fanciest hotel in the valley, but it may be the friendliest. Our room, a king suite, was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The property was beautiful and the restaurant was delicious. The real difference, however, was the people who work there. The front desk people were courteous, professional and friendly. So... More

I travel for business, and always go Marriotts... I picked them to earn "status" and typically get great perks with my Platinum Premier level. Not here! No thanks at check-in, no arrival gift, and a room with a parking lot view. I'm entertaining, and chose this hotel for its great location... Beautiful campus! But I'm almost embarrassed of my "suite"... More

If I were traveling to Phoenix/Scottsdale for leisure, I would not choose this hotel. For the $379/night that does not include a free breakfast, go stay at the the Kierland Westin, Fairmont Princess, J.W. Marriot Desert Ridge, etc. Yes the Marriott suites at this hotel are nice and spacious, but I found some major things lacking at this hotel. The... More

Arrived for a 12 day stay recommended by our travel advisor. Ordinary hotel but with very good suites and very special service from all the staff. That turned an ordinary hotel into one which we really enjoyed staying at. Many good restaurants in the area so we only had breakfast in the hotel. That was good although slightly pricey. Nearby... Stayed at this property for business between December 20 and 23. 2014. I chose itbecause (1) the office where I had business was a 10 minute walk from the hotel and (2) I am a Marriott member. Transport and surroundings: Getting there from the airport is maybe a 30 minute or so drive. If you don't have a car, taxi... More

We have been here for 3 days. They upgraded us to a suite when we checked in as this is a very slow time of year here. And I can see why people choose other locations. We are right next to an airport and it is very noisy with private jets and prop planes coming all times of the day... More

Dear shirley0415, Thank you for your review. Our All-Suite hotel offers is great for those who like a little more space when they travel. The separate living room, refrigerator and wet bar are always a nice perk. We apologize for the noise you experienced during your stay. For any future stays, we offer complimentary ear plugs and microwaves that are... More
