This resort has been around for years but everything is in like new condition. Lots of marble and quality rooms and furnishings. Fabulous setting just outside Phoenix, with great staff - most of the time! Good rooms, if a little lacking in facilities. The food at J&G restaurant was good but breakfast is not up to scratch, especially the buffet - cold bacon, solid scrambled eggs, and c'mon guys, get some decent coffee for breakfast.

The Phoenician definitely deserves its 5 stars. The service is amazing, everyone is very friendly and eager to provide whatever you need. The rooms and pool are beautiful and overall great for singles, couples, or families. I stayed in a deluxe room facing the mountains and it was very tranquil. I would definitely return.
