It's hard to write this review, since The Phoenician holds such sentimental value for us. We got married on the property, and have returned on special occasions through the years, including a family Easter Week stay two years ago. What a disaster today's attempted check in was! First of all, the (high) room category that we had booked months ago... More

We had high hopes but left saying we would stay elsewhere the next time we were in the area. Our room was clean and comfortable and about a 10 minute walk to the lobby and pool area. The prices were high and the property felt chaotic. Granted, it was a busy spring break week but a 5-star hotel should promise... More

Finding a lounge chair is the height of first world problems, I know, but all I want to do at a resort pretty much is pool time. First day we sat in restaurant area for an hour waiting for a chair to open up. The pool guy was supposed to call us when he found one. I went to see... More

I find it difficult to fault this hotel. I've visited twice, now, and been impressed on both occasions. Both times, it's been for a conference, and I had less time to enjoy the hotel this time than the last, sadly. it's a great place for a business conference, golfing (by all accounts), and even seems to handle family visits rather... Very fun place to go with a family! Cactus garden was awesome and beautiful nice trails! Pools were huge and awesome so much fun! The slide was the best I went really fast and the landing pool is thankfully warm! Basketball in the pool is really fun! There is a kids splash pad in case you want to cool off.... More

Unfortunately, this resort did not meet the expectation for a 5 star SPG luxury collection property. The grounds are beautiful, however the rooms are dated, the service is below average and the pool area is fool of heavily drinking young people. So unless you are a group of college kids looking for a fun spring break experience - I recommend... More

The rooms and flooring are in need of replacing. The staff at times appeared to be bothered by questions. The grounds are beautiful as is the main lobby, but that's about it. We asked for a ground floor and were placed right by a busy street where the linen trucks, etc., drove by constantly. I will say that the housekeeping... More

The location, grounds, rooms, staff, spa, golf lessons and restaurants were all super. Our room was very large and had sliders out to a quiet nook with flowing water nearby. The staff was all friendly, helpful and knowledgable. We enjoyed 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners on property in 3 of their restaurants, all were expensive but worth it. Nice housekeeping... More

This is definitely the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I went to that hotel for a business conference, since I did my check in it was a nightmare! They have been charging my credit card for different reasons that not even the hotel can explain. This has been going on as far as three weeks after I checked... More

After several decades of annual trips to the Phoenician, the tennis facility remains one of the best parts of the resort. It is beautifully designed and maintained and the staff, especially Belinda, the tennis shop manager, is so welcoming and accommodating. Overall, the property is amazing. The guest rooms, however, are in great need of updating. They smell musty on... More
