Self-admittedly a travel snob. Luxury Collection makes me swoon. This place does not fail to impress, even on my third visit. The Phoenician is a calming luxury retreat, overlooking the wondrous hues of Camelback Mountain contrasting a sky so vivid blue, you'd think you were dreaming. The resort itself is what you would expect - sprawling multilevel pools, service staff... more

My husband and I stayed at the Phoenician for 3 nights over Father's Day weekend. The hotel is very relaxing and the staff very friendly. The rooms are contemporary and pretty large with a desk and seperate sitting area. There are several pools, including a waterslide pool, as well as a serenity-style pool. The steak house J & G was... more

Arrived for a 4 day, 3 night stay in the Canyon Suites over 4th of July weekend. Only $275 a night as July is off season for this resort - an incredible value for the experience. We were greeted by name by our 'ambassador' and were already checked in somehow, he took us straight to our suite at 11 am.... more

My wife and I were looking forward to traveling to Arizona and spending sometime in the sun, since the weather on the east coast has been dismal. We chose The Phoenician Resort after careful research, and stayed from June 21-26. Let's start by saying that everything was perfect, and that we did not have one complaint about the resort. Actually,... more

I really should have listened to the negative comments on this site about The Phoenician. The grounds of the hotel are amazingly well cared for, standing in stark contrast to the guest rooms. The guest rooms were spacious, however, they were in need of a serious renovation. The carpets had stains on them and were generally on the thread bare... more

Despite the busy Memorial Day holiday weekend, this resort is so spread out, we didn't even notice it. I'm a Platinum SPG member and was greatfully upgraded to two rooms in the Casitas (nearby kid's pool) by Aaron at the front desk. Don't need to valet, just park next to room. This resort is great for every leisure experience. I... more

Be careful of the Reservation system at the Phoenician which is part of the The Luxury Collection. If you stay at this resort or make a reservation with the luxury collection, be aware that the rooms are paid for in advance and are Non Changeable And Non Refundable. After making the reservation, we found the rates had been discounted by... more

We were going to Scottsdate for a wedding. We decided on the Phoenician for 3 nights even after reading some poor reviews on tripadvisor. I was there for 2 weeks! I have stayed at some of the top resorts in the US and this was right up there with all of them. This includes 4-season (Maui) and Ritz Carlton (Lake... more
