My husband and son stayed here on a weekend trip. We found this property very nicely kept, grand, beautiful decor and comfortable. The grounds are expansive and well maintained. The pool area was big enough that it nevefer felt crowded. It was easy to get lounge chairs in the sun or shade. However, there was poor pool side service. The... more

As a reviewer, I need to answer your question -- namely, is it OK to stay here? Our group of 600 descended upon this hotel for several days. The property is certainly beautiful and well maintained and the staff accommodating to every request. The rooms are a bit dated, not the current theme of newer chic hotels to offer clean... more

Wow. This is how I have to start this review. The Phoenician is one of those hotels that you plan on returning to the next time you are in town. Several room amenities that we experienced include: turn down service with chocolates, the wait staff offered to get us fresh ice with our room service meal, and soothing music playing... more

While everything is very expensive, the resort is beautiful and has excellent customer service. Room service comes in a timely manner (but is very pricey). The pool staff is very gracious. The pool bar has an excellent selection of drinks. The lower level dining option has great food and prices are reasonable for a resort. The steak house restaurant has... more

We stayed for ten nights at the beginning of September, it was very hot but we got a great rate :) Negatives The hotel rooms were a dissapointment - we booked a deluxe room which is one up from the entry level room. They are old and lacking any character. We were moved after a few nights due to an... more

Everything about the Phoenician was brilliant - OK the ice cream was a bit OOT but well worth the indulgence! The grounds are extremely well kept with plenty of room around them and the pools to relax. The conference rooms were discrete so if you were on holiday you wouldn't really have noticed the business activity that may be going... more

Sixth time and second for personal....top notch stay and not a complaint in mind. The grounds are impeccably kept and the rooms are fantastic. This is a very unique and special place! Get a Grand Deluxe King room - well worth it! more

I have stayed all over the world and this hotel by far has the most expensive food. $6.50 for a tall drip coffee or $5 for a bagel? My family(8 & 3 year old kids) and my wife stayed here for 5 nights end of August. I am used to spending a lot for hotel foods as I travel for... more

We stayed at the Phoenician and all in all had a great time with a few hiccups . I agree with the other reviewers that the hotel is a little dated but the grounds a beautiful with little meandering pathways with waterfalls and fountains. We stayed in a casita room over looking the grounds, pool, and camelback mountain the room... more

I have stayed at the Canyon Suites before and was blown away. I was not sure the Phoenician could replicate the same service in their other huge building. I was surprised. First, as a SPG Gold member we were upgraded to a casita and was granted early check in and let check out. My favorite part about the room had... more
