My sister and I joked that we were Hotwire victims (I love Hotwire-this is the first time I did not like a hotel I got through them) when we ended up with this hotel last month in October for one night. When I walked into the hotel room, I had a feeling that I was on a porn set....the room... more

I always stay at the Mondrian when I stay over in Scottsdale or Phoenix and have never had a bad experience. The service is always excellent and I highly recommend it. more

I stayed at this hotel on a Friday night because a friend had a work function there and I didn't want to drink and drive. A web search said this hotel was “the place to go” in Scottsdale so I had high expectations. My first impression was that someone spent a lot of TLC on designing and decorating this hotel... more

Fortunately, my expectations for the Mondrian Scottsdale were rather low. It delivered. The space is most certainly a converted motel, with exceptionally creepy hallways and coffin-like rooms draped in white, funeral-home like curtains. I'm all for boutique hotels, but this decor doesn't fit the bill. The bed is comfortable enough, and the rooms are large, which is a plus. The... more

Lied with your pictures on the property. Very cheap quality hotel. Rooms were dirty and noisy fan - all night. Bathroom door jammed - no view as advertised in website bathroom faucets leaky. Front desk was dirty and filled with boxes - not a good first time appearance. Will never book again and recommend no one to book. Not a... more

Nov 10, 2009 | Trip type: Friends getaway

We went with a group of friends to Scottsdale and stayed at the Mondrian. We got a King Suite in building 4 (3rd floor). The rooms were clean and the hotel service was friendly enough. Funky is the best description I can give. It wasn't overly impressive, but it was clean and suited our needs pretty well. The bed was... more

How this hotel got a four star ratings is beyond me! This place is a dump. A lousy renovated property. The air conditioner sounded like a rocket taking off all night. The hotel did nothing to quiet or stop the 1am-4am party two doors down. The broken bathroom door and the roaches that stared at us from the bathtub did... more

Okay, the reviews are misleading. The hotel is a former holiday inn and feels like a motel 6 that tries to be cool and trendy in a "design on a dime" sort of way. The rooms are not set up for any sort of work space ( so no desk, etc). I had to change rooms (the AC unit was... more

Dear Lindcam, We appreciate you choosing Mondrian Scottsdale for you business travels and very much appreciate your candid feedback. While our design is “edgy” it does not always appeal to everyone. Our designer, Benjamin Noriega-Ortiz, has designed this hotel with an urban upscale atmosphere. Our Red Bar and Midnight Room is excellent in providing evening entertainment. We hope you consider...

Overall, a fine experience but nothing exceptional, and the 'trendy' factor undermined by a lack of guest and general buzz about the place. more

We booked a 3 nights package in September and unfortunately we arrived on a Saturday afternoon. There was what they call a pool party and the level of sound was absolutely unbelievable! We were supposed to be upgraded but they didn't (no room was available). We had a 50$ credit at the Blue bar, by the pool, but we couldn't... more
