My wife and I and our infant daughter decided to do a 4 night "staycation" to get out of the house for a few days. Since we live in Phoenix we were just looking for a relaxing weekend and we did get that. We had a studio which was rather tiny but just right for our purpose. The kitchen was... More

I used the Armed Forces Vacation Club to get a $300 deal for seven days here. The first thing to be aware of is that it is close to nothing. Situated way on the northern edge of Scottsdale, there is absolutely nothing (beyond some car dealers) anywhere close to it. The next problem came at check-in. I was subjected to... More

I went with Armed Forces Vacation Club aka a time share place. I paid $ 329.00 for seven days. Yes I went to a time share meeting while we were there and had $100.00 taken of our tour to the Grand Canyon. We visited Sedona where I went on two other time shares and had another 200.00 given to me.... More

My husband and I stayed in a two bedroom, two bath corner unit with our two young daughters from April 5-12, 2009. We were able to exchange our 1 bed/1 bath timeshare for a promotional 2 bed/2 bath unit through Interval International (www.intervalworld.com). Upon check in we were offered our choice of several available units. We chose a 2nd floor... More

I went with a friend in December 2008 as a winter getaway and to brag to my friends about seeing the Grand Canyon. The location is actually about 2 hours from the Grand Canyon, but near everything else. It's convenient to shopping, malls, strip malls which one had a great authentic Jewish bakery and deli. It's only a quick highway... More

We have a Sunterra/Diamond Resort time share and we frequently stay at Scottsdale Villa Mirage, with our children. We LOVE the two bedroom... lots of space and fun things to do. This past weekend my husband and I stayed there, for a weekend away from kids, and for the first time stayed in a Studio... which is a lock-off from... More

There are better places to stay at. We just got back yesterday. We booked a 1 bedroom. We found the kitchen well stocked but with dated furniture bedspeads and wallpaper. After we checked in we were given a room on the 3rd floor. PS no elevators. With my bad knee I had to lug a carful or suitcases up 3... More

PROS: - Relatively inexpensive near start of tourist season ($75/night). - Clean CONS: - No cleaning service! I stayed for 3 nights, and the hotel informed me that they will not clean my room for the ENTIRE stay. They said that if I stayed 5 nights, that they would clean the room ONCE. What kind of hotel doesn't clean up... More

I would stay here again and again so nice and clean. I stayed for a week in studio unit, huge bathroom, no tub, clean! Little kitchen with everything you might need. Bed was super comfortable, tv and dvd player was great to have. No washer or dryer in studios, but it was ok, I had enough clothes for a week,... More

July-August 2008: Villa Mirage at Scottsdale was our base for two glorious weeks of exploring this gorgeous state. If arriving after 6pm and driving to the resort, take advantage of the Sat Nav. It gets dark by 7.30pm. 17 miles in the dark on an unknown route needs a bit of help. Our one bedroom apartment had every facility and... More
