Was staying at an older hotel in Scottsdale this past weekend 8/7 thru 8/10. I just never felt comfortable, so went on a search for a better place to stay for remaining 3 days.
I drove around the area and came upon the BW Sundial just east of Scottsdale Rd on Camelback. This boutique hotel with I'd quess approx 50 rooms is brand spanking NEW opened end of March 2009. Spoke with the manager on duty at the time Sergio. He showed me three rooms on the ground floor of this three story hotel, each room he showed was nicer than the next. I ended up choosing suite 101 with a king size bed, full jacuzzi tub, walk in shower, bar with stools and 50" HDTV oh yeah leather couch and chairs along with a mini-fridge in bar area. The hotel is spotless from the manicured grounds, rooms, common ways and lobby, where free continental breakfast is served each morning. A nice size pool with accompanying hot tub and outdoors showers is located in a tastefully designed "backyard setting"... more
