Not good. We checked in around 730 at night and was amazed at the loud music. We had a room by the pool and there was a Wedding going on at the plaza on the OTHER side of the pool (a couple hundred feet away. The music was so loud we could not even hear the TV. We called and complained... More

We got a steal of a deal on this place, paying just $56/night for two nights. The room was clean, comfortable and reasonably well-equipped. The resort's pool was very large and appealing. For a more typical resort price ($100+) I think I'd have been less happy.

Although outdated, we stayed 4 times and enjoyed our stay each time. The rooms can be very nice, the dining hall convenient and it is very close to the Mexican border. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. They also are dog friendly.

This place is past it's prime. Our toilet had black stuff growing in the bowl. The room was not well maintained. The view from the room, however, was great. The restaurant and bar were average, food o.k. The location is remote. If you just want to get away and hang out by the pool for a few days, then you... More

We recently stayed two nights at the Esplendor Resort in Rio Rico, Arizona using an AmazonLocal deal. We had to reschedule our trip twice and the front office staff was friendly and accommodating. When we finally arrived, the front office staff was cordial and efficient. Our deal included a bottle of wine and it was brought up to our room... More

This was our first time here, if you like vintage Mexican charm, this place is for you and it was for us. The Staff made us feel like millionaires! The San Cayetano bar/restaurant was very soothing with live Spanish guitar, great tasting food and excellent drinks. The staff made sure you never had an empty glass. This might be a... More

Four things I look for in a hotel are a place that is clean, quiet, safe and convenient. This property meets these criteria but nothing else. Whe we pulled up I noticed the plastic plants in the beautiful outdoor fountain and then the very dirty rug at the entrance. I was a little worried. However the room was clean even... More

Very disappointed in our food. We drove 15 hours & 950 miles to celebrate my husband's birthday & Valentine's. He wanted to play golf some place special. It was Valentine's night & the dining room had a special prix fixe dinner. The menu sheet said that for $99 two diners would enjoy a Chef Rolled Salad, a bowl of Tomato... More

We stayed for 3 nights while attending the Tubac Arts & Crafts Festival. This appears to be an "older" resort on a huge piece of property that someone has recently (?) purchased and is trying to restore it to its former glory -- We reserved a King Suite but were accidentally checked into a King Room, which was very well... Having been unable to book lodging in Green Valley, AZ for the Tubac Arts Festival at a reasonable rate or for that matter any rate at all, we decided to go further south. The resort at Rio Rico was a fun alternative to the homogenous hotels further north. The resort was built in 1971 and is showing some signs of... More
