We arrived early for check-in and Joe was cool, not at all punitive and even offered us a beverage. He escorted us to our room which was the "apartment", so darned cute & it has a fridge & sink with a little stove. He was a good person to consult about local stuff and restaurants. The beds were comfy and... More

Fabulous place to stay, from wine or beer when you check in, very soft towels, fun decor and clean rooms to fresh cookies. I feel so relaxed. We talked with Brian for places to eat and he has great recommendations. Staff was friendly and quick to accommodate booking the room was very easy and when I had questions they were... More

My husband and I spent one night in Prescott en route from Phoenix to Sedona at the beginning of a 10-day vacation. I found this place on tripadvisor but when we passed it on the road my husband said, "oh, no, that can't be it!" So we drove on and looked at other chain hotels farther from town and on... More

A friend of the owners turned us on to the Motor Lodge and w were glad we booked it for our night in Prescott. The room was comfortable especially for a good night's sleep. The staff was friendly and made sure we had what we needed. The little extras set it apart. We would book it again.

This place is awesome, from the amazing staff to the vintage bikes to the thoughtful touches like a welcome drink and a good bye cookie. This place is awesome. The location is great. The ambiance is that perfect mix of funky and cool. This is not cookie cutter. If are looking for tasteful beige, this is not the place. If... More

Visited Prescott recently as a future site for potential relocation - while I did not find it to my liking we did have a fabulous stay at the Motor Lodge. Visit their website to see all the images and you will see why so many people praise their stay here. Owners greeted us with cold local beers and we were... More

I always have this problem when I'm in Prescott - the good modern hotels, like Hampton Inn and Residence Inn, etc. are too far away from the historic downtown where all the sites and, most importantly, Whiskey Row is, and there is not a good old Grand Dame of a hotel that has been restored to modern day comforts. So,... More

'A' is for the 'AMAZING GUESTS' that do a bit of research (Google is a terrific tool for that) before staying at a motel called The Motor Lodge. 'B' is for 'BITE YOUR TONGUE' if you failed to be an 'A'. My grandma had a terrific saying: "Some people talk just to hear their head rattle" (admittedly, a double-edged sword... More

We stayed here a couple of nights--friendly, interesting hosts--great info about the area and story of the Motor Lodge. Rooms are decorated in retro style, beds are really comfy. Close enough for a long walk downtown or a quick drive. We had a classic room that had a covered carport and a little porch. There are bicycles to borrow if... More

I will repeat much of what has been said before, but this place somehow manages to balance friendly, quirky, and comfortable. Let's start with friendly as you are greeted even before you enter the office and then offered a cold beer (good selection in might add) or a glass of one of three wines. You are given an informative tour... More

Had it not been recommended we never would have found it. If you like the familiarity of chain hotels then this place probably isn't for you. Every room is made unique by the wonderful touch of the generous owners. Fireplaces, car ports, retro bikes for rent.... All make for an exceptional experience. We loved it and so did our 60yr...
