This place by know means is a let down however, the rooms are showing there age. Upon check in, we had 2 different style rooms. The Vista room for my parents was too far away from us and the quality wasn't to expectation. They were very accomodating and moved them into a similar courtyard room closer to us. The rooms... My wife and I love to travel so we decided to go to Phoenix. We don't normally look for a hotel like this however we were impressed. The Royal Palms is relaxing and soothing. The service is outstanding. The rooms are great. The shower is roomy and blasts off any unwanted skin cells. It's awesome. The bed is nice and... More

Stayed here for several days in June for a business trip. Since it was summer I was able to upgrade to a casita at no additional charge, and it was wonderful. Beautiful shaded, private terrace to enjoy breakfast, as well as a good book in the evening. Very comfortable room luxurious bedding (only downside: no tub). The grounds were a... More

The Royal Palms was unlike any hotel I've stayed in. We normally stick to the big chain hotels, but I'm so glad we went with this boutique style resort! It was in a wonderful location right in front of Camelback Mountain, and spread out across several acres instead of being a high rise. We had a 6am flight so that... More

I think my wife liked her birthday present! What is not to like? Beautiful casita with a great bed, gorgeous walkways through lush trees and bushes and a welcoming pool for a morning swim. To cap our day we had a wonderful dinner at T Cooks. Love this place!

Perfect location for access to old Phoenix or swanky Scottsdale. Our casita was fabulous. Limited onsite dining menu but easy access to nearby restaurants and lounges. Beautiful grounds for drinks on the patio or lounging by the pool. Recommend early spring of course, because summer in Phoenix is hell. Beautiful place!

I just got back from the Royal Palms and had a great time in Phoenix. This hotel has a cozy charm that relaxes you and makes you feel as if you've walked into a secluded oasis each time you return from a days outing. The staff is very friendly, especially the guys out front. The grounds are beautiful and the... More

This place was wonderful. Clean and quiet, just like we wanted. The service was exceptional and we had everything we needed. The food is a bit pricy but tasted very good. The pool area was great but be sure to get there somewhat early, as it gets busy late morning through the afternoon. The resort is located about 5 miles... More

We have heard a lot about the Royal Palms. With summer rates, we decided to check it out. Very impressed. Great service. Staff was genuine. Beautiful grounds with impeccable architectural & landscape details. Some of the rooms capture the view of Camelback mtn. Food was excellent for breakfast. Recommend the outdoor dining with the sounds of fountains and birds in... More

The Royal Palms Resort and Spa is a very authentic old style Spanish Mansion that dates back to 1929 when it was first completed. It became a hotel in 1949. It is beautifully laid out and is very romantic with hidden walkways and lush mature gardens. Our room was a Montavista suite which was very large (800 sq.ft) and had... More
