The grounds of this property are the most beautiful we have experienced in the Phoenix area. Unfortunately our room, a valencia casita, was not the most beautiful. I made the mistake of not reserving a designer casita, which apparently are updated. Our casita was old, the lay out was odd and the bathroom was just like a best western. I...

Thank you for your review. We are very pleased that you felt our property is the most beautiful in the Valley of the Sun! Please be assured that we are planning a complete renovation of the Valencia Casitas in summer 2012. This will include an update in the bathrooms, soft goods and overall create a more luxurious feeling. In the...

Old Hollywood style, subdued, classy resort with excellent onsite spa. Not as glamorous as newer resorts, but somehow more authentic. Wonderful historic architecture, esthetically pleasing common areas. Great proximity to hiking Camelback Mountain, although once there, it is tempting not to leave. Resort fee seemed high at first, but made sense once they clarified that it includes most gratuities while...

This lovely historic hotel was a nice base for our stay in Phoenix. The grounds are magical at night . The highlight of our stay was the time spent in the gorgeous spa, the atmosphere of which is incredibly calming. The front desk gave us the wrong spa hours so be sure to check with the spa directly if you...

Loved everything about this hotel. Gorgeous grounds. Loved the pool area and the outdoor fire pits. Beautiful ambience around every corner. Came for a meeting, brought along the family. My kids loved the pool, hot tub and entire place (actually they just loved Arizona in general and now want to move!!). We will definitely be back to Royal Palms!

We spent Thanksgiving 2011 here to visit family in Phoenix. It was a wonderful experience in every sense one could imagine. The grounds are beautiful, cozy while feeling spacious at the same time. Private but very friendly with one of the best staffs we have ever encountered at a resort or hotel. Eventhough we like to try different resorts and...

We only stayed the night but the treatment by the staff both at reception and throughout the day was fit for royality, which indeed we felt like during our stay. The food was ordered and we enjoyed it on our private patio overlooking a beautiful garden. The pool area is very small but intimate. We cooled off in the pool...

This is a wonderful resort, although expenside, steeped in old-world Mexican atmosphere in a very private setting. But the food is not commensurate with the hotel's alleged high standards. A Chicken Ceasar Salad at lunch, for example, was fit for a Perkin's Restaurant. Actually, Perkins might serve a better food. Don't expect outstanding cuise at the Royal Palms.

This is by far thee best place to stay in Phoenix. From arrival to departure the staff makes sure you feel at home. We hosted a wedding there and have been going back every since, not just us; but our daughter and new son-in-law go back and so do all the guests! We love it.
