Being charged $268.18 for a smoking in the room fee was the most recent and lowest blow from Extended Stay America in Arizona. The charge was credited to my account that evening / or later. When I approached them about my refund, they created an unbelievable story of what they found in the room. ALL B.S. and all not documented. There are many people who would like to work and also stay in this hotel. All I can say is that this is not one I would stay again or recommend to anyone who I liked.

To be perfectly honest upon check-in I had several issues with my room! Although the next morning when I spoke with Christian at the desk and explained to him all of my issues he was quick to fix every single one of them, and made my stay very pleasant! For the remainder of my stay I was welcomed by my name when getting coffee in the morning, they truly made to feel like a home away from home as the note says in the room.

The best part was the staff, the rest was horrible. I was not impressed with the facility at all. It was dirty and in the room we found a steak knife on the chair, food in the cupboard, a rusty, bloody looking towel behind the fridge, an old tattered shoe under the air conditioner, and the "clean" extra blanket delivered to the room was full of long, brown hair. I will not speak of the other patrons of the hotel, but I will say that I did not appreciate them smoking and hanging out on my car. I would never stay here again.

Stayed June 4-7 for business conference. Room is adequate for 1 person, toilet was not working first day, had to wait for receptionist/maintenance man to fix the toilet - Christian was nice/helpful - that was the best part. Morning of check out, noticed a bed bug bite on my right cheek, R & Left leg as I showered. Told the receptionist at check out, he apologized and promised to have his manager contact me when she gets in at 9:00 a.m. June 17, no calls at all. Sadly, in 2008 I had the same experience in a Maryland Extended Stay America (see my review). Since that bed bug incident in 2008, I haven't booked with Extended Stay - how I forgot this time until a bed bug incident. Bed bug bits makes feel creepy about beds - this is a horrible experience and I conclude Extended…

I received a copy of your review, and wanted to take a moment to personally respond. We strive to provide guests with all the comforts of home, so I am disappointed to hear about the cleanliness issue you mentioned. On inspection by our exterminating company on the day of your departure, there were no signs of pest activity. I am grateful for the feedback you provided so we are able to continually improve our hotel. I invite you to contact me, at pxc2@extendedstay.com, if you have any additional comments. We would love to have another chance to provide you with a better experience at our hotel the next time you're in town.

I liked the extra spacious room, king size bed, dishwasher, pool and grassy BBQ area with picnic table. The maintenance staff is rather lazy, leaving trash bags out on the second floor walkways and leaking bags not cleaned leaving sticky, stinky residue. We complained several times before they finally cleaned it up in front of our door. They took away coffee and hot water right at 9:30 am, and you had to ask for EVERYTHING including bathmats, soap, towels which were shorted in the room by housekeeping, etc. I just don't like to be looked at like I stole worn out towels from a cheap hotel. There is also a lot of heavy construction going on with the property next door. Landscapers started with blowers at 7 am.

I appreciate you taking the time to write a review of your experience with us. It upsets me to hear that the trash was not attended to properly. I am sorry for your experience. Your comments were reviewed by the staff, and we will be walking our property frequently to ensure your experience is not repeated. I will also make sure we are clearly communicating our amenities during guest arrivals. Still, I am glad to read that you enjoyed our spacious rooms and found our hotel to be a good value. Your feedback is very important to us, so thank you for sharing. I do hope that you will return to our hotel, or any other Extended Stay Hotels location in the future.

Cigarette butts everywhere right outside our room door. Dirty pull out couch. The mattress was wet! Yuck!!!! I couldn't sleep because I don't know what would crawl on me during the night after seeing the wet mattress. For over 130/night, it's not worth it!

This property had fresh paint but that was all for looks. Very understaffed apparently. One person at desk every time we were there. (9 nights). Always a line in the office and always long waits. (20 minutes to re-set our door key). Others in line had similar complaints. Trash was left outside rooms by other tenants. It was never removed! I spoke with the front office clerk the second day. He told me he was too busy to get it. I asked if housekeeping could get it. He said he'd check. trash stayed for 5 more nights, with more added each day. Still there when we left. Housekeeping travelled the outside corridors daily. Rooms were ok for size. Must ask for basic kitchen utensils. Will get 2 forks, 2 spoons 2 butter knives, two bowls, 2 plates, 2 coffee cups and 2 plastic cups.…

We stayed at this hotel largely do to the price compared to other places in the Chandler area. The location on is right off the highway and there is plenty of places to eat, get gas, etc. close to the hotel. The front desk gal was helpful and professional even though she was very busy running the front desk and needed help. We had to wait while our room was inspected prior to getting the key. Odd... The hotel is dated even though there have been attempts to update the rooms. The breakfast in the morning is a grab and go - so just coffee, fruit (an apple or orange depending on the day) and granola bars. The room does not have ANY kitchen items. Not even a cup or a coffee maker. You can request kitchen items and utensils to be delivered to your room. We didn't go through the…

We stayed here two nights while in the process of moving from FL to AZ. We had a speedy check in process and our room was spacious and clean. What made our stay memorable was the staff, especially Carolyn. She is the best! She is the ultimate professional customer service professional and this company is lucky to have her. Breakfast bar was just fair but for only a few mornings we certainly weren't going to starve. The location of our room made for a quiet stay/experience, and we were appreciative of that. Overall, no complaints.

After driving most of the day from Los Angeles to San Tan Valley my wife and I needed to find a place to stay. Even though Chandler was located an hour away from San Tan we decided to give the Extended Stay America a shot. I have stayed at a couple before and they were OK, a step up from low end hotels, but not in the class of a Marriott either. The office looked professional when we signed in and the staff friendly. The room rates were reasonable. We went to our room located on the second floor and while walking, we noticed the hotel was old, looking like a Motel 6. We got s bit worried. Opening the door we saw the room was extremely small. Much smaller than other Extended Stay rooms. But as j am writing this review, it is late and we are tired and just needed s…
