My bf and I stayed here our last night in Phoenix. It was a week long trip for us in AZ, UT, and CO. The Budget Lodge was clean (very important!) and was much bigger than some of the other places we stayed at. The price for the location can't be beat. It was easy access getting onto the highway... more

I stayed in this motel this April and had a very satisfactory experience. The location is very convenient indeed, close to light rail station, airport, and many hotels that are possible candidates for conferences. The service is also far beyond my expectation given its super low rate. In fact, I had had some concern as how clean or how good... more

I was skeptical of the reviews on this hotel, but decided to book anyway. I am happy - and somewhat surprised - to report that this is a very good deal. First, let me say that this is an urban hotel. It's two-stories with no elevators, narrow hallways, and few frills. There is no room service, no spa, no fitness... more

Everything that other reviewers are saying about this place is pretty much what I'd have to say! In fact, I booked my reservation based on the recommendations of other reviewers on this site. It was everything described! A short list of the things we liked the most: 1. It is VERY close to downtown, the light rail station and the... more

After reading the reviews on this website, we decided to book this motel on our AZ road trip. I was a little apprensive, because for this price ($60), it couldn't be that good, right? Wrong. It really is that good. Quick access to and from the freeways. The rooms were quite large and comfortable. Maybe a minor point: if the... more

Very clean, very pleasant. Owner is constantly on duty. Keeps it clean inside and out. Walking distance to convention center, at a quarter the cost of the big hotels. more

We stayed at the Budget Lodge for one night during our road trip to Arizona. The location was only a short walking distance from the US Airways Arena and the Convention Center. The rooms were clean and roomy. For the price, the Budget Lodge is a great place to stay. more

We stayed here for the first 2 nights of our SE Arizona road trip, and I can't see why anyone on a slightly restricted budget would consider staying anywhere else. Yes, the outside is a bit shabby and the corridors and stairs could do with a lick of paint. But the room itself was very clean, tidy and in good... more

I found this hotel on this website when looking for somewhere to stay during a holiday in early March which I took with my 13 year old daughter. Every review on here was positive so I decided to book it. It was indeed an excellent place, although I do have a few small issues. Here are the positives first: The... more

All the other hotels in or near downtown Phoenix cost $150.00 and up. The Budget Lodge is within walking distance of the Convention Center, the sports arenas, city & govt. offices, entertainment, and good restaurants. The hotel rooms have all been remodeled and are roomy, clean, and pleasant --- and the beds are comfortable. Dan, the manager, was most accommodating,... more
