I am confused about some of the high reviews here and question their authenticity. This place is completely "acceptable" and "affordable"... but not much else beyond that. It was basically a creepy little ghetto motel. Unfriendly vibe. Old everything. Sad little "breakfast" on a ledge. No elevator. Broken toilet. No real shower head. Just.... old and weird. I would stay... More

We stayed there two times during a roundtrip through the Southwestern States; right at the beginning and before the end. The reason for choosing this hotel was pretty much the price and the close-to-downtown location. We paid $88,69 per night (tax included) and were VERY satisfied. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are nice, well-equipped and spacious. Forget about... More

First of all, they charge 80 bucks a night which may seem cheap however when you take the condition of the room and hospitality into consideration the most it should cost is 40 dollars. The beds are so uncomfortable that when you awaken you feel sore all over your body. Next, the owner of this hotel is rude and unfriendly... More

Last night I attended an IL DIVO concert at the Comerica Theatre. I don't like driving at night and I live in Peoria so I booked a room at the Budget Lodge Phx. It turned out to be one of the smartest things I've done. The Lodge is minutes from the Theatre so I left my car and walked. I... More

My husband and I attended the Cher concert on 3/22/14 - fabulous show - we wanted a reasonably priced place to stay that we could walk to US Airways Center. The Budget Lodge was perfect. We are both in our 60's and did not have a problem walking to the Center. In fact, we walked down and back there twice... More

My husband and I were traveling for vacation and our flight got delayed. By the time we got to the hotel it was after midnight. The whole place was dark and we almost left until (luckily) my husband say a little buzzer to ring. They had already charged our credit card by 8pm that night so we just got a... More

Served it's purpose. Clean room , comfortable bed, fairly quiet. Parking can be a pain if you have to park behind the hotel. No keypad access unlike the front of the building. Microwave and fridge could have worked better, but were functional.

Very well kept and clean. Very reasonable rates. The area is on the verge of changing to urban uptown, but now is mixed in with auto repair shops and building under renovation. Easy walk to the light rail and the convention center. We found the manager and the staff to be very helpful and nice.

I stayed at the Downtown Budget Lodge in Phoenix for several days while attending the KW annual family reunion. The hotel was just 7 blocks from the convention center where our meetings were held. The hotel was very neat, clean overall and the room was equally neat and tidy, well appointed and in excellent condition. Had everything I needed -... More

I was attending a convention at the convention center and I wanted to be within walking distance but I didn't want to pay $200+ a night. Budget Lodge Downtown Phoenix was the perfect choice. It's only a couple extra blocks down from some of the big name national hotels. The walk to the convention center is about 10 minutes with... More
