We stayed at the lodge the night before and after our rafting trip with the Hualapai River Runners and had an excellent experience. Our room was on the road side of the building, and also bought a portable sound machine with us-slept like babies! The rooms were spacious and clean, bed were very comfortable. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Food... More

We stayed at the lodge the night before our one day rafting trip with the Hualapai River Runners and the night after. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well decorated. We had breakfast and dinner at the resturant and the food was good. The staff is very pleasant and helpful.

We were so excited about the rafting trip we really did not pay much attention to reviews about the train. The train was noisy,so on second night we requested a street front room but they were all booked. Guess those go first.. The big thing is the rail road crossing which makes the train whistle have to blow right at... More

Hello, Thanks so much for your review. We are happy to hear that your family enjoyed the river rafting and our amenities. We do recommend staying on the roadside if you want to stay away from the train noise. We are currently working on some sound reducing windows to be installed the end of this year. Really good hotel. Nice rooms . Be sure to book rooms facing Route 66 because trains run every 20 min behind hotel. They have earplugs but you won't hear them if u get Route 66 room and sleep with ac on. Also resturant has great food overall I recommend this place

We were booked on a one day whitewater rafting trip, which leaves from the lodge at 8am, making this place pretty much the only game in town unless you want to drive 1+ hours from Kingman or Flagstaff. We were warned over and over about the trains passing right by the lodge. Our surprise on arrival was that it was... More

If you are going on the Hualapai River Runners trip, this is pretty much the only choice you have in terms of lodging if you do not want to wake up early and drive in from Las Vegas or Kingman. That being said, the rafting tour pickup is at 8am, so if you are an early bird the early morning... More

Thank you for your feedback. Many guests find that the ear plugs work great and we are currently looking into sound proof windows on the train side to reduce the noise of the train. Many guests find that in requesting a road side room assists in not being bothered by the trains passing by. Best Regards, Nancy Echeverria More

We stayed at the Hualapai lodge the night before our hike to Havasu Falls. Best part is the unexpected restaurant. The beef stew and fried bread is amazing. We met our guide there to prepare for our 4 day hike. We found everyone helpful and friendly. The train is loud so bring earplugs if you think it will bother you.... More

My husband and I booked for one night before our Havasu Falls hike and were surprisingly pleased with this hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious. The food in the restaurant was really good and enough variety so anyone can find something. This is a good thing because it is the only restaurant option in the area. There is also... More

The Hualapai Lodge is a unique place. The rooms are clean and the decor authentic. We stayed the night before hiking into Havasupai and this is the closest hotel to the Hualapai Hilltop (65 miles) where the hike begins. The train tracks are directly behind the lodge and a train runs every 15 minutes. That did not bother us, but... More

Quite frankly we probably would not have chosen to stay here if we had another choice. The reviews about trains passing by every 15 minutes would be enough to scare anyone away who might have another choice. But we were supposed to check in at 7am for the Hualapai River Runners tour, and we knew there was a possibility of... More
