This is an older hotel in the middle of nowhere off of Route 66. It's not a bad place, but definitely older furnishings. We had two rooms and neither of them were furnished the same. It was hodgepodge furnishings. One room had a coffee pot while the other did not. There was a bottle opener mounted on the side of... More

We were here for a Road Scholar adventure with a grandchild and found the historic Route 66 atmosphere perfect. Yes, things are worn, but think summer camp and have an adventure. Beds were clean and comfortable, staff positive, and it is a kid friendly place. It is in the middle of nowhere, and the busy BNSF rail line is far... More

This part of Arizona is funky. Like they are stuck in the 60's and everything is run down and old. So the Caverns Inn is the perfect place for this. You gotta just get into the groove of things and appreciate all of the "charm" this place has to offer. The old cars, poster, broken stuff, and western things. The... More

OMG! This place is a total disaster and epitomizes the very worst of guest accommodations in every respect. At first impression, one would think that they had traveled back to the 60's with all the outside "decorations" of the 60's era. We made the mistake of reserving and paying for the room on line, not having the good sense to... More

Stayed 1 night at this motel which had super charming retro outside decor, rooms were very basic though. Unfortunately one of the staff ladies in the morning was very cold and unfriendly which made the whole experience a lot less pleasant. Wifi only worked away from the rooms/cabins - in front of reception.

We arrived at 5 pm to find that the restaurant was closed. When we got to our room, the toilet had been used and not flushed. When there is a ghost walk tour, you can either participate (free of charge) or get kicked out of the cave and hang around above ground...we took the ghost walk tour. This is not... More

If anyone wants to see what Route 66 looked like in its heyday (and what it has become), this is it! The caverns was the only place on the mother road where it had to be expanded to 4 lanes for all of the traffic. Today, the motel has far less traffic than that. Usually only a few people staying... We stayed here on a Route 66 run...this place is memorable to me because it's very retro and I they happen to have some extremely large dinosaurs in the front which for some reason really interested me. The rooms are set up in long rows so you can park in front of the room- think No Country For Old Men... More

We checked in, and then right back out!! We booked this place because it boasted "closest hotel the Supai Falls" as we were hiking to Havasupai Falls in the morning and just needed a place to rest up before our early morning trek. The website makes it look like a cute and eclectic mom n pop type place with several... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at the "Open air room". Not the most pleasant of experiences I've had. I was definitely not looking for anything fancy, however, I did not expect to feel nervous that the structure was going to fall apart, that the port-a-potty was going to be flipped on its side, or that we very well have started...
