We almost didn't stay here due to negative reviews, but we are Priority Club members and try to stay in HI hotels. It is a typical HI hotel with friendly staff and nice rooms. 10% discount at local restaurants with hotel key. The recommended Cucina Paridiso Italian restaurant was fabulous! more

We have stayed at several HI-Express. We found the room to be small. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was clean everyday. Enjoyed staying at this property. It was clean, had a friendly staff and an excellent extended contintental breakfast. The indoor heated pool and hot tub also were very nice. Payson is a nice weekend getaway from the Phoenix area and the towns people are very friendly, like a small town atmosphere. more
