I paid about $45 for a weekend stay here through the Women's Expo in Phoenix. I figured it was a timeshare speel and I was right. The Pluses: truly outstanding location. Minutes from restaurants & services in Payson, but in the middle of the woods. We stayed in a room with a king bed and no fireplace. (141, I believe) It was me, my wife, and our french bulldog, Ella. It was perfect for her and she loved swimming in the creek. If you are thinking about staying at Kohls Ranch...dont! Reservations: They have two means of making reservations, the front desk at the hotel and an 800 number. This made things confusing when we wanted to stay an additional night (thinking it would get better). We just came back from Kohl's Ranch in Payson, AZ. It's about 90 minutes from the Phoenix airport, and is a beautiful area.
