Very nice little place in the woods. I stopped by on a whim (I'd been travelling all day). They had to scramble a bit but were able to accommodate me. I took a walk along the creak nearby and had dinner at an excellent place about 2 minutes walk away. I was tempted to give five stars, but I didn't... More

My Girlfriend and I went up to Payson/Christopher Creek for a quick weekend trip over Memorial Day. We wanted to stay in a small rustic cabin nestled among the pines and creeks in Northern AZ - AND THAT IS EXACTLY what we got with the Grey Hackle Lodge. The cabins were small but very functional and nicely kept. We stayed... More

My wife and I love going to Christopher Creek for a one or two night getaway (and sometimes even for the day) and we've stayed just about everywhere around the vicinity. We have now stayed in the little cabins that Grey Hackle has to offer, twice now, and both times was an amazing experience! Tiny and cozy, but with ALL... More

Checked in over the Valentine weekend. We needed a rest and connection for each other. The rustic cabin offered peace and quiet. Brought the books and food to stay isolated. Hiking available, lakes and good food across he street at Creekside Restaurant. Dog had a great time. Spent time reading and just enjoying the peaceful moments. Can't wait to return.

We love Christopher Creek. It is nice and quiet. The weather was great! We wished for snow but did not get it. :-( We stayed in the 2 bedroom cabin at Grey Hackle. The family loved it. They had a nice selection of movies and games. We had a lot of fun family time. I will always stay at the... More

Decided to head up to the mountains late one afternoon and called Grey Hackle to see if there were any more cabins available. They stated that they had one left but warned that it was a small studio cabin - a warning that they'd repeat a few times over the conversation. I appreciated the honesty but once we arrived we... We did an anniversary up here, and we're so glad we chose the Grey Hackle! It was everything we thought it would be- tall pines, cool temperatures, and the rooms were cozy with a fireplace! There's even a steakhouse across the street- which is also equally fantastic! The wife and I wanted to get some fishing in, and the owner... More

Took the family up from the valley (PHX) for the Labor Day weekend, and of course, all the properties were filled to capacity, so we fealt relieved to get a room at the Grey Hackle at such a busy time, on such short notice. It's run by the Lewis family whom do an excellent job at the Christopher Creek Lodge... More

We've been coming here for the last 5 years , absolutely love it , we rent the Ranch House #8. The family that runs the Grey Hackle Lodge is very nice. Understand the Grey Hackle Lodge is rustic , so if you are expecting a 5 star resort , mints on your pillow or turn down service, don't thing of... More

Booked a small cabin for a trip with my 7-year-old son. While it was a little run down, as was the facility overall, the cabin had what we needed and was a decent place to stay for a night. Didn't seem to be a person on-site at all times, but a call to the number posted on the office door... More
