We were looking for a place to spend the night while out and about looking at fall leaves on the mongollian rim. Quiet clean and comfortable. It was a spur of the moment trip and have found a new plae to stay when visiting the area

Stayed two nights at the Wooden Nickel Cabins. Myself, Wife and Adult Daughter. Very clean and comfortable. Everything provided was in great shape. Appreciated the Satellite TV in each Cabin to watch the Football Games on Saturday. Firewood provided for each Cabin - Could have been a little more but that was my only complaint.

Stayed in the Ranch house in the wooden nickel cabin with a group of friends. It is very good, big one. Seems to be little bit costlier. The house as such and the amenities are very good. Excellent choice for a family get together or friends get together.

The cabins are nice but everything inside is not even worthy of a thrift store. The cups and bowls are old and minimal. No measuring cups no mixing bowls just the bare minimum. If you plan on cooking bring your own utensils as well. The knives wouldn't cut through anything stronger than butter. Really! Barely cut through a piece of... More

My other half and I spent the night in the Wooden Nickel cabin and it was excellent. I never saw any carpet messed up or anything. The whole place was spotless. Yes the beds are not like yours at home, but who wants to spend that much money on people who might destroy them in the first place. I slept... More

We had a fantastic 3 day weekend in Rim Country with the Wooden Nickel Cabins as our home base. I am use to more rustic cabins, and I was actually very pleased with the amenities here, especially the front porch swings, the back yard picnic areas (picnic tables, gas grills, charcoal grills and fire pits), comfortable furniture and cable TV!... I found the place very rustic and clean. The loft was awesome. Im not sure what the others are talking about, as this place was very updated. I did not see anything that needed updating. I was very weary because of the other less than great reviews...I pulled up and asked to look inside before I took my family in.... More

The Wooden Nickle Cabins need some major updating. The carpets are rippled, and not connected at the doorways. I even tripped over them. Most of the beds were as hard as rocks. 50 % of the lights have blown out bulbs in them and the chandeliers are all dusty. Most of the wallpaper is torn. All of the cushions on... More

Love these rustic little cabins. Great for our family of 4 with master downstairs and a loft upstairs which the kids love. They also provide a small kitchen, with all the pots and dishes, plus a bbq grill, firepit and firewood on the back porch. We always make a evening fire and sit outside and look at all the stars....
