After a very, very hot four days on the Arizona Trail, this little oasis of light was heaven-sent. A much needed infusion of energy and capital by relatively new owners Lynne and Jerry have revived a venerable old dame of a motel, and the results are very good, with more to come. My room was spotlessly clean, and when I... More

We visited cinco do mayo weekend and the area was busy. We we on the motocycle so we needed a bed after the ride , horse races in sonoita. the pool was clean, the birds were entertaining while sitting on the porch with my cocktail and feet up. The bed was a little firm for us but, the pillows were... More

This motel looks like a stage set...and it was indeed a hotel built to house movie makers and John Wayne. The new owners are proceeding with major upgrades and are friendly and accomodating. It is not finished yet but I can see that it will be lovely when completed. The restaurant was pleasant and dinner was okay but the breakfast... More

This is a charming place to stay in a charming town. You get a sense of the old (but perhaps not wild) west. The rooms are large, comfortable and clean. Two of its greatest strengths are the owners, Jerry and Lynn. They really go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Recently, after a long day on the... More

We stayed here weekend of the 20th, and used this as our base camp for wine tasting and sightseeing. The property is in the process of being spruced up, is cute as a button and shows great promise. Very quiet, the owners are present and helpful, never intrusive. Please was spotless, and a fridge in all the rooms. The attached... More

We were surprised and delighted with the renovation of the State Stop Inn in Patagonia, Az. Clearly the owners, Lyn and her husband, have taken great care in transforming their lodge with careful attention to decor, service and warmth. The results are impressive. They went out of their way to make our stay pleasant and to insure we will indeed... More

As another stated, It may be the only place to stay in quaint little Patagonia, but this is the cleanest, and has the BEST staff of any hotel we've stayed in, in the last several years. The housekeeper Cenovia and her daughter take real pride in the cleanliness of all the rooms, and they always greet you with a smile... More

Stage Stop is your basic 50's-60's era motel in the best location for Patagonia. Clean rooms, friendly staff in walking distance of the few restaurants in town. Nothing fancy, but you're in Patagonia,

There were several people from out of town that stayed at this wonderful hotel on 2/22/13. The people at the front desk were so kind and informative and pleasant. The rooms were clean, had everything anyone would want and the beds were super comfortable. The fun thing was the upstairs balcony area that we used as a get together after... More

It may be the only place to stay in quaint little Patagonia but it is still a good choice for an evening. Our room was on second floor overlooking the village and mountains. The beds were so comfortable that we slept until 10am. The numerous lounge areas are remarkable in comfort and western decor.
