This hotel is just perfect. A boutique hotel, great location with exception service from EVERYONE. We were first introduced to this hotel by friends who, at the beginning of our holiday, invited us to join them here for dinner. Eric looked after us that evening and we were both so impressed with the atmosphere, food, wine, service, that we decided there and then to stay here. So we canceled our reservation at another hotel we had booked and booked here for our return at the end of May. Prior to our arrival we were in communication with the Front Desk Team, Deanna, Tami, Cecelia and Nicole who I have to say are the best. Ever one of my enquiries was responded to quickly. Non of this waiting for days to get a reply, having to chase things up. Dinner reservations made, Pool Cabanas booked, Room upgrades done, all in extra fast time. Other hotels could learn a lesson from this first rate team. We had a beautiful Casita 104. Spacious, clean, with a separate bath and very big walk in shower. Lots of amenities, plus a nice private outside patio with lots of furniture. We decided we needed a drink after our walk around the grounds, which by the way are beautiful and going through a renovation so will be even more spectacular I am sure. So headed to the bar, where the wonderful Bella looked after us. Pre dinner we headed to the bar again (you see a theme here) where this time Liz made us feel most welcome. For our first evening we booked dinner at Lon's. You will not be disappointed. The menu for us was perfect. A subtle blend of traditional and some dishes we had never tried before. The place was very busy, calm but with a buzz. Delores met us and seated us at our table. Right next to the fountain. Very romantic. She is the perfect person to have as a meeter and greeter. A warm friendly smile and a great sense of humour, but I get the impression will not suffer fools gladly. Matt was our waiter, with Ramon serving the water and keeping us topped up all evening. We make a point of engaging with everyone, not forgetting the people who only play a small role in the evening, for when it all comes together to make it a memorable time, everyone, no matter how small, has a part to play. John the sommelier was a little elusive at first, however we asked him to recommend a wine and he did good. After a very good nights sleep, the rooms are cool and quiet, we decided on breakfast. For the whole of our stay Angela looked after us. What a perfect person to have at the most important meal of the day. A breath of fresh air, which in the heat of Phoenix can be hard to find! Angela was engaging, friendly, very professional and again had a sense of humour. She even made a point of saying hello as she saw us about the hotel. I guess this is what makes boutique hotels so special. Grace was ensuring we were kept hydrated with lots of fresh water. We decided to book a Pool Cabana (something we had not done before) Carlos looked after us in spectacular fashion. The pool was not busy, 4 of us for most of the time we were there. He was extremely friendly and made sure we had everything we need to make the most of our experience. My only observation about the pool was its surface was full of dead bugs! The other couple around the pool asked Carlos to arrange for it to be cleaned off however, sadly nothing really happened until around 3pm when the pool filtration system kicked in and the water surface movement pushed them down the skimmer. You really need to ensure the pool is netted frequently. It lets the hotel down. After going out with friends for dinner we got back in time to have a drink in the bar and Nick looked after us. As with everyone he was very friendly. I know I keep saying this, but for us it takes so little to engage with a guest, make them feel welcome, valued and this hotel has that balance perfected. Our check out was seamless. We left feeling relaxed, if little sad at going. A big thank you to 'everyone' for helping us make memories.…
