Have stayed several times before. It has what I am looking for: beautiful grounds, small boutique feel, with dining/bar on site, and typically very quiet (I eat early dinners and hit the hay early on these trips). This stay, however, I had several negative experiences. First, after booking online it took two calls (and over a week) to get emailed reservation confirmation. Then, the room assignment. In the first, lights from the valet parking lot came directly into the bedroom, directly into your eyes if you are in the bed. After politely talking to desk staff, I packed and moved to another unit, but was still on parking lots on both sides, with the outdoor patio (one of the main reasons I book here) facing the lot. Worse yet, when the neighboring unit flushed their toilet, it emitted a prolonged, loud drilling sound, enough to wake anyone. When I mentioned these issues, I was told that I had booked the lowest cost room type (at more than $700/night!) and in "my future stays" to avoid these issues, I should book a higher-level room. Finally, also at check out, I flagged a $100 drink tab that had been signed to my room from the bar that was not mine. From the tab and other detailed receipts they showed me, it was clearly three guys having late-night after-dinner high-end bourbons that either accidentally or on purpose got signed to my room. It took too much back and forth and me having to present receipts, review them and the signature on the tab (even continuing to email exchanges after I left) to get that removed and refunded. It is a lovely, historic place. If you are an older couple, or perhaps a male business/golf traveler, this is a nice spot if you spring for the more expensive rooms, or at least not the two that immediately abut the parking lots.

As soon as we arrived we were met by the valet who welcomed us and took our luggage. The front desk check in was fast and easy. Our room was big and beautiful we were near the hot tub it was a nice quiet area. We were here for rest and relaxation. The grounds were beautiful lots of plants and flowers. Quiet pool area for relaxing. Loved our little patio area for reading. The rooms are large with a comfy king bed with a cute sitting area with a gas fireplace. The bathroom was beautiful and large it had a double vanity, soaking tub and a walk in shower. We had dinner at Lons last drop which was excellent. The patio area is so pretty. Lots of outside dining with the heaters. The Hermosa Inn is a perfect get away oasis we loved our stay and will be back.

From the moment you meet Nicole at the front desk it becomes clear that a personalized, professional team is about to work their magic. My husband and I have a tradition of staying in small luxury hotels for New Year’s Eve and the Hermosa is a stand out top experience. Nicole made sure we had the perfect casita and even brought me a cup of coffee to insure that I had the energy after our flight to enjoy it! The place feels intimate despite housing a destination restaurant - Lons. The food is terrific and Carlos was a spirited and attentive server at the pool. There are numerous trailheads a minutes drive away, which are great to explore, if you can tear yourself away from the fire pits.

Top notch service. Food was incredible!. Outside seating in December under the heat lamps was great! I had the Bison short ribs. Be sure to try one of their signature cocktails. Everything from presentation to service was excellent! Will definitely go back on my next trip to Phoenix.

The Hermosa Inn is a beautiful getaway resort with attention to detail from the parking attendants to the staff and certainly to the cozy rooms and gardens. Diana and Tami in reception are most kind and helpful, always smiling and making sure you have a wonderful experience. The restaurant Lon's is elegant and dining inside or outside never disappoints.

Last week my husband and I stayed here with friends for a 3-day long weekend. It was nothing short of spectacular. It is a great location in Paradise Valley a short distance from the Biltmore and all Scottsdale has to offer. The paintings of Lon McGargee, an artist who used the location as his residence and art studio, are hanging in almost every area and add to the hotel's charm. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and well maintained. Flowering trees, bushes, and plants surround you on every pathway. Sitting in the pool was like being at a private oasis, listening to the birds and taking in the atmosphere. The rooms are spacious with a table and two large leather chairs to relax in. The bathroom is huge - double sinks, a beautiful stand alone tub, and a very large walk in shower. Beds were comfy. Refrigerator and Keurig maker are in the room. We had brunch at Lon's which was delicious. The other two nights we decided to have a drink at Lon's Last Drop, and ended up staying for their happy hour which had quite a selection and was fantastic. One night we had a cheese board which came with a carafe of wine and was absolutely delicious, along with empanadas which were equally wonderful. Cannot say enough favorable comments on their restaurant. One last shout out to Nicole at the front desk. She helped us with a few things and provided great advice on things to do and where to eat. We definitely will be back in cooler weather. Thank you Hermosa Inn for such a great vacation!

This hotel is just perfect. A boutique hotel, great location with exception service from EVERYONE. We were first introduced to this hotel by friends who, at the beginning of our holiday, invited us to join them here for dinner. Eric looked after us that evening and we were both so impressed with the atmosphere, food, wine, service, that we decided there and then to stay here. So we canceled our reservation at another hotel we had booked and booked here for our return at the end of May. Prior to our arrival we were in communication with the Front Desk Team, Deanna, Tami, Cecelia and Nicole who I have to say are the best. Ever one of my enquiries was responded to quickly. Non of this waiting for days to get a reply, having to chase things up. Dinner reservations made, Pool Cabanas booked, Room upgrades done, all in extra fast time. Other hotels could learn a lesson from this first rate team. We had a beautiful Casita 104. Spacious, clean, with a separate bath and very big walk in shower. Lots of amenities, plus a nice private outside patio with lots of furniture. We decided we needed a drink after our walk around the grounds, which by the way are beautiful and going through a renovation so will be even more spectacular I am sure. So headed to the bar, where the wonderful Bella looked after us. Pre dinner we headed to the bar again (you see a theme here) where this time Liz made us feel most welcome. For our first evening we booked dinner at Lon's. You will not be disappointed. The menu for us was perfect. A subtle blend of traditional and some dishes we had never tried before. The place was very busy, calm but with a buzz. Delores met us and seated us at our table. Right next to the fountain. Very romantic. She is the perfect person to have as a meeter and greeter. A warm friendly smile and a great sense of humour, but I get the impression will not suffer fools gladly. Matt was our waiter, with Ramon serving the water and keeping us topped up all evening. We make a point of engaging with everyone, not forgetting the people who only play a small role in the evening, for when it all comes together to make it a memorable time, everyone, no matter how small, has a part to play. John the sommelier was a little elusive at first, however we asked him to recommend a wine and he did good. After a very good nights sleep, the rooms are cool and quiet, we decided on breakfast. For the whole of our stay Angela looked after us. What a perfect person to have at the most important meal of the day. A breath of fresh air, which in the heat of Phoenix can be hard to find! Angela was engaging, friendly, very professional and again had a sense of humour. She even made a point of saying hello as she saw us about the hotel. I guess this is what makes boutique hotels so special. Grace was ensuring we were kept hydrated with lots of fresh water. We decided to book a Pool Cabana (something we had not done before) Carlos looked after us in spectacular fashion. The pool was not busy, 4 of us for most of the time we were there. He was extremely friendly and made sure we had everything we need to make the most of our experience. My only observation about the pool was its surface was full of dead bugs! The other couple around the pool asked Carlos to arrange for it to be cleaned off however, sadly nothing really happened until around 3pm when the pool filtration system kicked in and the water surface movement pushed them down the skimmer. You really need to ensure the pool is netted frequently. It lets the hotel down. After going out with friends for dinner we got back in time to have a drink in the bar and Nick looked after us. As with everyone he was very friendly. I know I keep saying this, but for us it takes so little to engage with a guest, make them feel welcome, valued and this hotel has that balance perfected. Our check out was seamless. We left feeling relaxed, if little sad at going. A big thank you to 'everyone' for helping us make memories.

A group of us went here for happy hour. Before I get to the food and drinks, the service here is otherworldly. The servers work as a cohesive unit, attentive but never pushy, always pleasant and efficient. The happy hour menu is fun and creative without being Scottsdale level scary and weird. It’s real food with a flair and it looks great when it arrives. Happy hour pricing is very reasonable. Drinks are creative and fun. I had the Arizona Sunset which is Campari, Aperol, Código Tequila and Prosecco. It’s just the right blend of everything, refreshing, colorful, just a hint of sweetness and a wisp of a smoky finish from the Tequila. Nicely done. The patio is beautiful and relaxing and it feels like it is way out in the boonies but it is close to 32nd and Camelback. That illusion alone is worth the trip.

Hermosa Inn did not disappoint. My husband and I had a delightful visit to Paradise Valley. Not only was the staff accommodating of our needs, but the property is so beautiful that we did not want to leave. Our room was comfortable and well decorated and I'd consider going back just for the luxurious bathtub. We will definitely go back!
