El Rancho Robles is a beautiful place, with newly restored buildings which provide glimpses into the history of the the guest ranch. It is definitely a ranch. It is located at a historical ranch. If you need good phone service, be aware that there are areas that there is no service at all. Went to the Bluegrass Festival there last night. Was a great venue. Had a personal tour with property manager. What a fun place to visit. Seventeen acres of history. Rooms were rustic but very clean. I cannot say how much I fell in love with this oasis in the desert. If you are driving across country camping, stop here.
