We stayed at Sinalei Reef Resort for my brother's wedding recently, and what an experience it was! From start to finish the staff at Sinalei couldn't have been any more helpful or efficient. We arrived in late at night and the transfer bus was there waiting with ice cold bottles of water. They patiently waited while we exchanged our money... More

We found the location of Sinelei to be perfect. If you rent a car it is a short hop from Apia (35mins?) and 50mins from the airport. The resort is on a beautiful beach which is shared with the more expensive Coconuts Resort. Be clear what is meant by an Ocean View fale. One set of accommodation maps showed OV... More

Thank you for your feedback. Our room categories have recently changed and has caused some initial confusion which has since been addressed. As we complete refurbishing both ocean and garden view fales, we hope you will be suitably impressed with some of the changes that are being added to improve these categories. We look forward to your next visit. More

Beautiful location, very friendly staff, amazing food! We were upgraded from the garden fale we booked to an ocean view suite. Prices for meals were higher than we anticipated for Samoa but the portions and the quality were exceptional. It was great having kayaks and snorkeling gear available. Also appreciated the air con and refrigerator in our room. We highly... More

Thank you for your positive comments. Whilst our menu is fresh and local, the lack of availability of some food items on an island such as ours can drive prices up from time to time. We greatly appreciate your feedback and look forward to your next visit. More

The pool is beautiful, the fales are well-appointed, and the outdoor bathrooms are awesome. I visited in 2010 and the over-water restaurant was fantastic. However after a few cyclones this was closed and I'm not sure if it's reopened. Definitely not worth a US$280 + price tag without that restaurant (really not worth it even with it, but that's just... My husband and I have just spent 4days at Sinalei. Like almost everyone else has said, this is a great resort staffed with some exceptional people. Thank you to Lusina for your great communication and the personal letter on arrival welcoming us and congratulating us on our 25th wedding anniversary. Our room was gorgeous, great views of the reef ..... More

Talofa lava Helene, Thank you so much for sharing your special occasion with us recently. As with many of our other guests, we are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay and got into the Sinalei spirit of relaxation and rejuvenation. The early arrival of the cruise ship group (45 minutes early) you refer to unfortunately threw us off kilter so... More

This tropical resort is about as close as you can get to paradise but try to stay a week if you can as it is in the middle of the South Pacific and near...nowhere. The rooms are simple bungalows overlooking the reef (ours came with a friendly neighbourhood cat). We lived on fresh fish, mangoes and papaya. Robert Louis Stevenson... More

Talofa lava, as with all Sinalei guests, it was a pleasure having you here. It was particularly special since you had made an epic journey to visit us in our stunning corner of the world. Yes, it was a long way to come, but the fantastic part about it is that it was worth the effort. We are sorry that... More

WOW is about all we can say, we have just return from the most amazing holiday ever, and we didn't want to leave. The staff at the Sinalei are the most amazing people, they made us feel more like part of their family than guests, nothing we asked them was too much trouble. The food was the was divine, so... My husband and I travel a lot, but are passionate about seeing the world and rarely return to places we already know. We made an exception for Sinalei - and, by definition, Samoa - spending our 15th wedding anniversary at the resort we loved most when we had our honeymoon in this marvellous country in 1999. Talofa lava Anne, what a beautiful rendition on your recent visit with us. 15 years is far too long in between visits, but it was a joy to catch up with you none the less. Just one small correction on the time between Sinalei and town which is 25-30 minutes not an hour. Having said that perhaps this is how... More

When we arrived at night, the flashes of the local life in the headlights on our drive from the airport were like freeze frames in a weird film. Impossibly lush gardens, the occasional roadside pig, locals walking shirtless in lava lava with hands of bananas and houses without walls, with backlit mosquito nets and a wall of heat that felt...
