I have been to Bali 8 times so we thought we would try some where different. Compared to Bali Samoa is expensive. We stayed at Aggies (airport ) resort for 6 nights and did not like it at all. The staff weren't friendly, they were just going through the motions in the fia fia, the food was crap and really... more

It was a wonderful place to stay! Great food, beautiful scenery and lovely accomodation. Downsides: We stayed in a room over the water which was incredible but as it was open air it had some serious mozzies! Upsides: Loved the outdoor shower and pool area. Husband liked the snorkelling and close proximity to an awesome waterfall for swimming - just... more

We spent three nights here just before the terrible tsunami. Hopefully Sinalei can rebuild fairly quickly as this is a lovely spot for a relaxing, romantic break. We understand most of the accommodation and facilities were reasonably undamaged. We had a fantastic time. The resort grounds, pool and beach area are just lovely - we particularly enjoyed the extensive and... more

A friend and I stayed at Sinalei for 5 nights in August and had the most wonderful time - we are both shocked and saddened at the devastation the tsunami has caused to the resort and neighbouring villages where most of the staff are from. Our thoughts are with them at this awful time. The staff are the friendliest I've... more

We stayed the first 3 nights in an Ocean View fale. The cheaper Garden View fale was only available for the last 4 nights. Our Ocean View fale was near-new and superb. Our garden view fale was a bit tired and needed a little maintenance. Excellent air con in both though. We enjoyed our stay, but it's quite expensive. The... more

We were extremely disappointed with this resort after extensively reading reviews. We found the resort in severe need of maintenance (see our photos) and the service absolutely sub-par. I would NOT recommend this property if you enjoy: * Reasonably clean rooms w/ working A/C * Service & management that is responsive PROS: * The food was overall very good for... more

We Stayed at the Sinalei for 6 nights and found it to be overall a very pleasant and lovely experience. We loved Samoa as a whole, the people were very friendly and it was warm and very pretty. The Sinalei fales are very nice and we found the staff to be very helpful and they organised anything we wanted to... more

We spent 5 nights in the Beachside #1 fale, and it was the most beautiful accommodation we have ever stayed in. The resort itself is lovely, and the staff are as warm and welcoming as they can be. We were so touched by the friendliness and kindness of Samoans throughout the country, and can easily understand why Robert Louis Stevenson... more

Just stayed the one night after we arrived and had to leave at 10am the next morning. About an hours drive from the airport. Was bumped by survivor Samoa at Annie greys lagoon and was put here. Rooms are classy but take the insect spray as the showers are in an outside enclosure to your room and when you go... more
