I had booked a night at Coconuts as a surprise for my husband.. We had stayed in some basic fales and I thought a night of 'luxury' is what we needed. What a disappointment!! We stayed in the Cocoa Suite which is the cheapest room but still worked out to be NZ$500 which is more than I have ever spent... more

Great chill out relaxing place spread out location we almost feel like the only ones there although the place was pretty much fully booked. Kayaking to the lagoon was awesome! Loved the pool with it's different seating spots although the swim up bar would have got more of my money if it had a bar tender. The restaurant staff didn't... more

We splurged at the end of our 2 week trip to Samoa and stayed at Coconuts Beach Resort. What a waste of money! We paid $400 US for an over the water fale which had a wasps nest in it! We were afraid to take off our shoes in the room as wasps were crawling on the floor and spent... more

this hotel / resort was so disappointing. It isn't cheap and we were really looking forward to relaxing here for a few nights, but the whole place is just sort of sad and tatty and poorly run, with a pretty awful restaurant too. On top of that we were drastically overcharged and badly treated. I really wish i had gone... more

We were going to go to Aggie Greys resort, but a workmate told me he & his wife had been to Coconuts the previous year and loved it. We had booked a treehouse which was lovely apart from the shower, which could'nt be adjusted, it was either cold or scalding. But the room itself was clean & comfortable, roomy, with a... more

We spent a week at coconuts and were ready to leave after 3 days. The beach was ok but the resort landscapers spent their time hiding out in front of our room and on our beach. Every time I moved all eyes were on me as they had nothing else to do. Felt very uncomfortable. Got back to our room... more

My family and I stayed at Coconuts last year and we were terribly dissapointed. We had been few years previously and things have tajen a terrible turn for the worse. The staff seemed aimless and occasionally more than a little hostile and resentful. The beach appears to have washed away and the pool area is barely adequate. The place itself... more

I stayed at the maninoa surf camp next door but wanted to confirm that the Coconuts Beach resort has finished it's renovation. We walked through and had a few drinks at the bar and it is immaculate. Cocktails were $10AUD each. They had a great deal for $200WST = $100 AUD which included 3 meals for the day including unlimited... more

After reading some of the reviews on tripadvisor I was concerned about where I selected to stay, but after going there I can only guess that 1) some commenters didn't stay at the resort, and 2) that they expected a FourSeason's Las Vegas resort in a 4-star resort dedicated to its natural beauty and gentle pace of life. The people... more

We have never been so disappionted with the attitude of the employees and the condition of Fale B which we stayed in...when we complained about the Fale we were told that it was being pulled down in October...I wonder if this has happened....the floor boards in the main living area were rotted away...we complained and they put a mat down...The... more
