Stayed 3 nights in this place. The only redeeming feature was it being 100m from the Upulou Deep Marine reserve for good snorkelling (3 tala each, child friendly too) When I arrived my bed had ants crawling all over it. I later found the source- an an infestation in the bamboo rack at the end of my bed, where they... more

For the price of a cheap dorm or (relatively) expensive room, you can enjoy a rambling old colonial bungalow set in pretty gardens by the beach. Walking distance of Apia centre. Fairly basic & regimented for the price (eg early breakfast, no footwear inside). Share the owners' haphazard kitchen to prepare your own meals, or get a yummy local-style takeaway... more

I took a group of 16-17 year old students to Samoa in September. We had a great stay at Princess Tui and found the staff absolutely wonderful and in particular George. He was absolutely wonderful to us, very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions. When we were caught up in the Tsunami while on Namua Island he even went... more

I think our opinion of this place was tarnished by the (not so good) reviews here. But something about this place didn't gel with us. Despite requesting an airport transfer, there was noone at the airport to greet us, and when we got to the inn (by taxi), it was closed - we had to knock on the door to... more

My husband and I were terribly dissapointed with the accomodations - not at all what we were promised in the several exchanged emails with the Princess Tui staff. We did not get A/C as promised; the sheets seemed clean but were thoroughly worn out - had little pills all over that felt like sand in the bed. The towels had... more

George the owner and the former banker spends hours on the computer marketing Princess Tui and he does a good job at it but the product he is offering is a very poor value for money. There is one consolation to be had the commaderie between the travellers can be very rewarding . more

After the last review and photos, we took clean sheets and towels with us, but I was pleasantly suprised. We had an Ocean view Std rm..there wasn't really much of a view..but it was very clean, well kept and beautiful thick white towels. The sheets were clean although my daughter found black hairs in hers..room was cleaned daily and the bathroom... more

The place was such a disappointment, I don't even know where to begin but here goes... 1) I reserved on line over 2 months before arrival and they charged my credit card for the full amount of my stay when I reserved. 2) the airport transfer that was arranged for me took over 2 hours to get to the Inn... more

We stayed at Princess Tui in Dec 08. Firstly there was a mix up with our booking and although we thought we were staying in a air con family room, there was no booking. Anyway at 4am in the morning with two little kids, the staff were very accommodating and found us a room. Sadly like most of the other... more

We stayed a couple of nights at the beginning and end of our trip in Feb 2009. On the whole, a basic backpackers, with the usual ups and downs. As I'm a bit of the backpacking type, I would return, but not with terribly high expectations :-) The photos on the web are nicer than real life. The place has... more
