As per most of the other reviews. The rooms are dirty nothing really works as the place has seen better days. If it was the first place I had stayed at in Samoa I would have immediately checked out and asked for a refund. But believe me it is better than most places and after the other places I stayed... more

I was quite surprised when I saw the rooms. They needed a new paint job and a bottle of domestos to kill the mould in the bathroom. But really it didn't matter. They have a more spectacular pool than the more expensive Aggie Greys Hotel. The rooms were spacious and looked out to some lovely grass areas. the rooms weren't... more

I was booked in here for a conference. I arrived a few days early, so intended to drop my laptop and stay 1 night before exploring some beaches. I was given a reduced rate for the one night as I was with the conference group, and a downstairs room - I think it was 118 or 119. It was only... more

We recently stayed at this hotel on our last night in Samoa as Aggie Grey's was full. The room was terrible - both beds were infested with bugs that were crawling over us. We had to strip the bed and spray the room with mortein to try and kill them. We hardly slept at all due to this and also... more

My Wife and I came to Apia to get married. We stayed at the hotel for approx 1 week. We asked for a ground floor due to my poor health. We were installed in a second floor dump with an inoperative air conditioner. There was no available porter. I requested that we be moved to a ground floor accomidation. This... more

The saving grace of this hotel was the pool. It was great. I spent all day out there - to avoid my repulsive room. Avoid the bar food at all cost. Would you pay NZ$20 for a "house special pizza" only to be served a frozen McCain's microwaved special? mmmmmmmm yes very unimpressed. If you can avoid your room as... more

I cannot understand what is not to like about this hotel.. We have enjoyed both of our stays there. Maybe not up to the standard of hotels in Asia' but pretty good for the price. We have stayed also at Aggie Grays and found it to be a far more enjoyable experience to be at the Tusitala.. Will stay there... more
