What a pit! It looked like a homeless community with chreap tarps used to wrap around the Fales for weather protection. Breakfast and dinner were provided with the fale ... Breakfast was horrible .. Boiled eggs, toast and tea or coffee. Dinner was better but nothing special. The toilets and shower were disgusting and no hooks for towels and clothes..... More

It was my 2nd time in Samoa and decided to fulfil a promise from the previous trip, so spent one night in a beach fale. Vaiula Beach fales were recommended to us by a friend, and I have to say, we weren't disappointed. The fales were comfortable, the grounds were nice, the beach looked beautiful (if a little small) the... More

We've just returned from a fantastic family holiday in Samoa! We travelled as a family of four (with our two boys aged 6 and 11) and our two nights at Vaiula Beach Fales were the highlight of our trip. The local family who runs these fales (with great support from many warm and friendly staff from the local village) creates... More

We stayed here for 4 nights over Independence Day & the Queens birthday...which resulted in lots of local visitors and their friendliness. We were given the double fale that doesn't have power (so no light) which meant unfortunately we had to sit in the bar each night ;-) The steps up to the fale are a bit steep so probably... More

Perhaps I was too spoilt by my previous night's accommodation at Le Valasi's Fale but I was not impressed by Vaiula Beach Fale. The sand at the beach was dirty with lots of rubbish, the gardens pretty unimpressive and the fales tired looking. As mentioned in earlier reviews they had the plastic tarps here instead of the leafy coverings which... More

Came here based on trip advisor reviews, was a bit disappointed to be honest. Although the fales are meant to be simple they have seen better days and really need some tidying. No grass mat curtains, just old tarpaulins nabbed from Burger King or Hyundai which make the place look shabby. The toilets are pretty 'rustic' too. The bar is... More

I was here in March 2014 for a weekend away....I didn't end up spending the night. The houses definitely need fixing up, but the sea and beach was great! The food they offer needs a lot of improvement and I was extremely disappointed, especially since it was expensive. I've had better home cooked meals. It has a lot of potential... More

Honestly, I cannot speak highly enough of my experience in Vaiula! Dave, Nugg and Vessi made us (I went with my girlfriend Denika) so welcome we honestly didn't want to leave. We were provided the most amazing traditional meals that you could tell were made with exceptional care, where Dave would sit and talk to us, which we found extremely... More

Vaiula was an amazing place to stay. We arrived on Chistmas day and Dave and his family made us feel welcome right away. The meals are amazing home cooked traditional Samoan meals made with local ingredients, mostly from his garden. Dave took us fishing one day and for dinner we got to eat our catch! Beach is beautiful and sleeping... More

We had a sensational few days at Vaiula! Such a great location with plenty to do. Snorkeling, surfing, fishing with Dave, a trip to the Island with Nugg.. Dave is a great host, nothing was too much to ask. He happily ran us up to the shops each day for supplies and put on some amazing meals for breakfast and... More
