After reading reviews on trip advisor, I thought that management would've fixed this... I was proven wrong. Upon arrival, we were left waiting as they could not find the key. They opened the room for us, but when we wanted to go out and explore, we realised they hadn't given us a key. When we asked for a key, staff... More

The only thing that was good was we checked in at 2pm on Christmas Day and they let us check out at midday on Boxing Day. The grounds are riddled with stray cats and dogs - it's feral. I had my 8 mth old swimming in the baby pool but the dog jumped in and the water was dirty. There... More

What an amazing resort. No it's not 5*, but who needs star ratings when you have hospitality & real caring staff, where nothing is too much trouble. We had a villa by the pool, clean & serviced daily. Nice touch in the bathroom with the tiles & Samoan decor. Special mention to all the staff especially Yvonne, Dane & Mr... More

We recently stayed at the Orator Hotel, the most beautiful grounds very peacefully and relaxing. The staff and service was excellent special mention to Dane the events manager who was always there to make you feel so welcomed and extremely professional in his job. The villa we stayed in was No 15 top of the path and was excellent in every... More

We had 10 nights at the Orator. Loved that the Villa's were more traditional than 5 star.. Gave us a better feel of the Samon way of life. Very clean and serviced daily. Staff where outstanding. We have never met a friendlier bunch of people in our travels. Nothing was too much trouble. They made my birthday celebration complete, from... More

Stayed at Orator 7 nights. Villas clean and comfortable. Had to ask once for towels to be changed but only once, they were changed daily afterwards. Shower was a bit hit and miss as to whether you got hot or cold. Didn't matter too much. The setting and pool area were great. Meals at the restaurant were good even if... More

We had a poolside villa for 6 nights. Lovely and quiet at this time of the year. Rain all night and sunny days. Yay! Room a bit "tired" on furnishings but superking bed comfy. Yay! Bathroom needed a bit of a refresh-up. Hotel only a nz$6 taxi to Apia centre and to restaurants there... Hotel staff the BEST! Always there,... More

This stay was extremely disappointing. The food was terrible and most of the items in the menu were not available. The 'Hot' breakfast was cold and mushy, the sausages were 99% salt, the fruit was mushy... Thank goodness they had toast and vegemite. Lunch was dry and tasteless and the waiter made us write down our own orders on a... More

Just spent two nights in this hotel. Wonderful grounds, very good restaurant, great and serviceable staff. Only problems: no hooks in the bathroom, no closets and guards rounds that wake you up at night. Otherwise, it is a fantastic value for money hotel.

Very friendly and helpful staff, nice gardens and pool area. The WiFi did not work despite the provider having been out the day before to fix it. The menu is more of a teaser as not all the items are available (got my fourth choice of desert, coffee creme brulee). Breakfast very average. The room I stayed in had volcanic... More
