We had a poolside villa for 6 nights. Lovely and quiet at this time of the year. Rain all night and sunny days. Yay! Room a bit "tired" on furnishings but superking bed comfy. Yay! Bathroom needed a bit of a refresh-up. Hotel only a nz$6 taxi to Apia centre and to restaurants there... Hotel staff the BEST! Always there,... More

This stay was extremely disappointing. The food was terrible and most of the items in the menu were not available. The 'Hot' breakfast was cold and mushy, the sausages were 99% salt, the fruit was mushy... Thank goodness they had toast and vegemite. Lunch was dry and tasteless and the waiter made us write down our own orders on a... More

Just spent two nights in this hotel. Wonderful grounds, very good restaurant, great and serviceable staff. Only problems: no hooks in the bathroom, no closets and guards rounds that wake you up at night. Otherwise, it is a fantastic value for money hotel.

Very friendly and helpful staff, nice gardens and pool area. The WiFi did not work despite the provider having been out the day before to fix it. The menu is more of a teaser as not all the items are available (got my fourth choice of desert, coffee creme brulee). Breakfast very average. The room I stayed in had volcanic... More

The rooms were very spacious clean and airy. Bed a little bit soft, kinda comfy, king size. Extensive menu, but not everything available. Sunday lunch excellent if you want to pay $50 a head. Gardens tropical and lovely. When leaving to go to airport would advise to book taxi instead of shuttle. nearly missed plane when shuttle was 45mins late,... More

The Orator is one of the better hotels in Apia, with spacious and quite private villas, A/C, TV, hot water, 24 Hour electricity and reception. If I'd been there for a laid back holiday I'd be rating it as a 4. Unfortunately I was there for business and there were a few drawbacks: the in-room phone didn't work properly (and... More

This property is set well away from roads and about a 10-15 minute drive outside of Apia. I really liked the peace and quiet of this property. We were a fairly large group(18 ppl total) and we never felt overcrowded or that the hotel was overfull even though they were fully booked the week that we stayed. Rooms were very... More

This is one of the best resorts I've been to in all of Samoa. The clean rooms and faccilities, great service and great food makes for a hotel that strives to provide consistency in their services they provide. The beautiful gardens make for a beautiful tranquil environment. I really enjoyed my stay there with my family, they were always accommodating... More

I have really mixed feelings about this hotel. It is a lovely garden setting with beautiful flowers and pathways around the resort, and the rooms are clean and very spacious (I had three beds in mine). The bathrooms are clean and spacious, and had hot water which seems to not always be the case in Samoan accommodation. There were a... More

Clean, comfortable accommodation in a beautiful garden setting. The pool area is the jewel in the crown - absolutely stunning. We literally spent an entire day poolside soaking up the sun with our 3 young children and teaching them how to use their snorkels before we headed south to the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times... More
