We stayed at the Tanoa for 14 nights(meant to be 9 nights but we extended). It was our first time in Samoa and found the Hotel to be ideally located in town and within walking distance to markets, shops and other restaurants. We arrived slightly early but were able to be checked in which was great, the staff were always friendly... More

Talofa Mike We appreciate you taking time out to review our property but above all I would like to thank you for addressing the service issues you had during your stay with us while you were here rather than after the fact. As you would have no doubt discovered we are by no means perfect but it is only with... More

Our stay at Tanoa was enjoyed by all my family and we found the Staff very friendly. My only complaints were that the pool needed its Temperature lowered because it is a very hot place, Also when we needed towels for the room they sometimes forgot to deliver, other than that it is a great place to stay because it... Talofa Mick Thank you for highlighting the benefits of staying at Tanoa Tusitala, particularly our proximity to Apia central and other amenities. Your reference to pool temperature is unfortunately out of our control as It has been documented that Samoa has experienced its highest temperatures in 50 years, an ice cold local beer or one of our cocktails does however... We stayed 8 nights at this hotel, set in a tropical garden. The rooms are nicely designed with a touch of samoa and clean (especially in comparison to Samoan standards!). The staff occasionally friendly, mostly inefficient and lazy. The breakfast buffet very basic and with a lack of choices. The bar can be very noisy on weekends and nobody seems... More

Talofa Gary It is encouraging to hear your comments regarding our rooms, surroundings and Samoan feel. I do concede that over the festive season noise levels did tend to creep up at times but generally speaking the noise is not an issue other times through out the year. I personally apologise that your complaints regarding noise were not actioned. I... More

The rooms of this hotel were clean, modern and well maintained. Very comfortable. The pool area was nice and the cocktails great. Dining choices are limited (being a hotel there is only one restaurant) and you are not really within close walking distance of many other options. Would suggest a car if you plan to stay here as a base... More

management should pay more attention in its food and beverage operation. breakfast was expensive for local standard yet buffet food selection ran out as people are in line. staff must be constantly supervise to be more attentive and focus. you do not want customers to wait when its a buffet-style serving. coffee must be hot not warm.

The place was very close to the Fagalii airport, the market, the bus stops and there are two night clubs and several restaurants within walking distance. I was disappointed in the food overall but the pork belly was outstanding if they had it. There were some language barriers here, but as usual, we found a Samoan who went out of... More

This was our 4th visit to Samoa but our 1st time staying at Tanoa Tusitala. Talofa Brian We are certainly glad that after several visits to Samoa you have finally discovered the Tanoa Tusitala and all it has to offer. It does appear you have embraced Samoa with a relaxed and easy going spirit. This will definitely enhance the experience. We can tend to forget that Samoa is a proud tiny nation in the South... Last time I stayed at the Tanoa, I wrote a pretty grumpy review. One of the complaints I had was a changed booking fee. I had checked about this before I wrote the review, and had been assured it was the Hotels fee. Once the Tanoa manager had replied to my review stating it definitely wasn't them I asked again.... This was my first visit since renovations and my group of 5 included my 75yr old mother and 2 toddlers. The room interiors are greatly improved and the facilities as stated online.
