Please take note, this "resort" is essentially closed. They will still allow you to book and pay to stay, but as in my case, that doesn't mean anyone will actually be there. No one showed up to open the place and it looks like it's been deserted for a while. I heard from many people and older reviews that this... More

It was a lovely quiet place to stay and explore the beaches and some reasonable snorkelling. the water was wonderful and the food yummy. It is not what many people expect from a 'resort' eg. swimming pools and concrete pathways, it has none of these things. but that is what I like. lovelly sandy pathways through the forest. We had... Expecting a resort greeted by a swamp full of mosquitoes, many broken fales, still with double beds in them. Given a lovely bungaloe, with broken windows on the waters edge in the swamp and village dogs made the beach unsafe. No holiday Total false advertising.

Booked through Expedia on the basis on the Lonely Planet review - big mistake. After driving along a very poorly maintained road for a long time, we eventually arrived, and we were horrified. The whole place was rotting away, abandoned, decrepit. Don't believe the photos - they must be extremely outdated. We were informed upon arrival that they had no... More

It's such a shame that is accommodation is a disaster. It's a cute (but secluded) location, even the rustic rustic fales would have been ok if the whole place didn't have a broken down, eerie vibe! When we arrived, we could see straight away that the whole place was falling apart. There were no other guests and it looked like... More

Staying at Virgin Cove was the worst experience of our family holiday in Samoa. Extremely overpriced for the end product. Access was down a 4WD track through a village, were a local boy demanded a toll on our way through. The basic fales translates to open hut, with shared bathroom consisting of a toilet and cold shower in the forest... More

This property is not a resort and you could only call it low budget accomodation at best.If anything, this property should not be allowed to be used for accomodation purposes. We intended to stay one night and we had booked and paid for the property on the Internet. We had booked a superior bungalow, beachside. After seeing the room we decided that we... More

We stayed in a fale for two nights. The hotel advertised daily cleaning but it was not done. Unfortunately we came at a time when it was raining constantly with strong winds. Our fale barely survived (raining inside, the blinds were more damaged than usual) and the management never did anything to help us secure it further. There were hardly... More

Well, when we arrived at Virgin Cove (an extremely bumpy ride over potholes on a 3km dirt track that taxis don't visit), a staff member informed us that Expedia had stuffed up our accommodation and instead of staying in the beach bungalow, we were to stay in the open fale. * The hut with no walls had no light globe,... Great location and beach with snorkelling directly from the shore. Coral is still damaged from the cyclone, but there is a great variety of fish. The accommodation is basic but that is what we expected - they are still recovering from the cyclone and tsunami. We stayed in a garden bungalow which had its own toilet and shower (cold water),...
