Staying at Virgin Cove was the worst experience of our family holiday in Samoa. Extremely overpriced for the end product. Access was down a 4WD track through a village, were a local boy demanded a toll on our way through. The basic fales translates to open hut, with shared bathroom consisting of a toilet and cold shower in the forest... More

This property is not a resort and you could only call it low budget accomodation at best.If anything, this property should not be allowed to be used for accomodation purposes. We intended to stay one night and we had booked and paid for the property on the Internet. We had booked a superior bungalow, beachside. After seeing the room we decided that we... More

We stayed in a fale for two nights. The hotel advertised daily cleaning but it was not done. Unfortunately we came at a time when it was raining constantly with strong winds. Our fale barely survived (raining inside, the blinds were more damaged than usual) and the management never did anything to help us secure it further. There were hardly... More

Well, when we arrived at Virgin Cove (an extremely bumpy ride over potholes on a 3km dirt track that taxis don't visit), a staff member informed us that Expedia had stuffed up our accommodation and instead of staying in the beach bungalow, we were to stay in the open fale. * The hut with no walls had no light globe,... Great location and beach with snorkelling directly from the shore. Coral is still damaged from the cyclone, but there is a great variety of fish. The accommodation is basic but that is what we expected - they are still recovering from the cyclone and tsunami. We stayed in a garden bungalow which had its own toilet and shower (cold water),... I had 6 days at Virgin Cove in July and found it the perfect place to relax. Home for the week was in a fale about 10 paces from the waters edge. It was a little like camping as I always had 5 or 6 of the panadus (or maybe coconut palms) blinds open. They only needed to be shut... More

Virgin cove is a beautiful place that lets you get away from the normal polish that other resorts have. We stayed in Beach Bungalow #1 (only 1 as of the 9th July 2014 another being built) which is about 150m down a beautiful path from the restaurant. It was comfortable and the attached toilet and shower made the extra investment... More

Apparently this place was devastated by the typhoon a couple of years ago. Most other places have rebuilt and recovered. I believe there was a change of ownership as the quality of the food, fales and bath facilities is way down from our last visit in 2011. It has the prettiest beach on Samoa, but needs to be cleaned up... More

I stayed at Virgin Cove for 3 nights and enjoyed my time there immensely. The location is stunning and it is perfect if you want some time away from the busier resorts. You can safely snorkel off the beach and see a good range of fish. Other wildlife include crabs, bats & birds. The fale is right on the edge... More

The beach at Virgin cove is beautiful. Little segregated areas to make your own... If you are happy to have a quite time, and chill out on the beach in open fales, this is a beautiful place. Slightly expensive compared to places like Taufua at Lalomanu which include dinner, but worth the money if you are wanting your own company.... More
