While only five minutes drive from the ferry terminal on Savai'i, Lusia's Lagoon Chalets have a secret, hideaway feel to them. Tucked away between the road and a sheltered lagoon and set in a lush, jungle type setting this is a pretty special place. We stayed in one of the air-conditioned units with toilet and shower, because a cool night's... More

Came here on break from University and was not dissapointed. Stayed 5 nights in Chalet Anne which was out on the lagoon. This place has great views and friendly staff (Henry and Tui). Good location, 10 minute walk to the markets and the wharf. Ask the staff for tours so you can see the whole island

I love being amongst nature so Lusia's place was just what I was looking for. Eco-friendly chalets right next to the water, great restaurant, and friendly staff. The food was very good and there were lots of backpackers to mingle with or share a meal. I liked the relaxed, casual ambience and respect for the natural environment.

From the second I stepped in to Lusia's I experienced nothing but excellent service. I had a fale over the water which I could literally swim in front of in the beautiful lagoon. The food was amazing, cooking up fresh Mahi Mahi in coconut. I would highly recommend this as a stop over when visiting Savai'i as it's location near... More

We stayed our last night in Samoa at Lusia's lagoon. The staff are extremely helpful and welcoming. We loved our over the water chalet, such a different room to what we had been using. The lagoon is a great place for a swim and the food in the restaurant a welcome change to traditional Samoan fare that we had been... More

We had a lovely four night stay recently at Lusia's. It was a good base to explore savai'i by car. The staff particularly Henry and Tui were so friendly, entertaining and helpful. The food at the restaurant was very good and quite well priced. Swimming and snorkelling in the lagoon just outside our room was fantastic. I felt it was... More

After staying in beach fales the lagoon/forest setting was a nice change of scene. Make sure you get a chalet out over the water - they're sturdier than they look, although we did get a wee bit wet when strong winds and rain blew through one night. The restaurant is disappointing for the prices.

I absolutely loved this place! It's a walking distance to the makeki where I bought the best keke pua'a for only two tala. The lagoon was just breathtaking! I would recommend staying in the fale over the lagoon! My fan wasn't working, but I was able to fix it myself. Mosquito nets could be replaced with newer ones. Bed was... More

I visited Lusia's for a 2nd time in June 2015. The staff are great, the place is well run. Because it is located in the forest the accommodation is cooler. Lusia, the owner is a genuine environmentalist. Restaurant is v good. The prime minister showed up one morning for breakfast! The small manual car available for hire runs well and... More
